I'm curious as to what is a high end Master Doc Buff. I got some last night that were about 1200 on all 6 stats and lasted for about 100 min. Can someone tell me what the high end and low end of the spectrum is.

Thanks

Thanks for the answer. Is there any master docs out ther that can actually lend a hand. I know the buff is different every time you use it, but what's a ball park number for a good master doc buff?

Nevermind, I can see this is as useless as posting a question in the Jedi forum. I read the FAQ and it didn't exactly answer my question. I was just hoping to get some stats from some other master docs out there about the strangth and duration of their buffs, but nevermind.

Why are my enhancements so random?

Even though an enhancement pack has a given "power" rating, the results of applying that pack can vary greatly. How much you enhance someone's attribute depends on three things: the power of the pack, your skill as a doctor, and the location in which you are applying the pack. Mathematcially, the formula looks (approximiately) like this:

Average Enhancement = Location_Medical_Rating * ( 100 + WoundTreatmentSkill ) / 100 * PackPower

The maxiumum and minimum enhancements range around this average by 50% on either side:

Minimum = Average Enhancement / 2
Maximum = Average Enhancement * 1.5

So, to illustrate the end result, let's use an example or two. Let's say you're an up and coming doctor and you've made it to Advanced Wound Treatment and Expert Medicine Knowledge (0/2/3/0). You can finally use enhancement packs. For this example, we'll say that you're in the medical center to apply your buffs and you have purchased enhancement packs with power 800. (Note: The medical center has a healing rating of 1, or 100%, and, at 0/2/3/0, a doctor has Wound Treatment skills of +35.)

Average Enhancement = 1 * ( 100 + 35 ) / 100 * 800 = 1080
Minimum Enhancement = 1080 / 2 = 540
Maximum Enhancement = 1080 * 1.5 = 1620

Now, let's modify our situation. Let's say the doctor in question is a master doctor, using a medical droid with a rating of 110%, has bio-engineered clothing that gives him/her a +25 to wound treatment, and is using that exact same pack with 800 power:

Average Enhancement = 1.1 * ( 100 + 100 + 25 ) / 100 * 800 = 1980
Minimum Enhancement = 1980 / 2 = 990
Maximum Enhancement = 1980 * 1.5 = 2970

As you can see, being a master doctor has some great benefits to enhanments over being a 0/2/3/0 doctor (The minimum enhancement from the Master Doctor is nearly as good as the average enhancement of the novice). However, notice that, as the average enhancement increases, so too does the variance on your enhancement. That variance will be equal to the value of your average enhancement. In the case of the novice doctor, that range was 1,080 points. In the case of the master doctor, that range was 1,980 points. So, as you get better and using enhancement packs, your volativity in doing so increases as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This should answer your question if I understand what you're asking here. Based on injury/wound treatment and the power of the pack, you should get your answer of high- and low-end buffs.

My first batch of buffs with advanced components had a power of 722 and a duration of 10722 seconds (3 hours). This latest batch had a power of 822, but a duration of only 2 hours. I thought I was using better resources all around, so I don't quite understand why duration went down so much.

Maybe someone can tell me what stat of what resource affects duration?

I believe its the Decay Rate that has something to do with the duration of the buffs...

im gonna do something unheard of here and give you a straight answer. lol. my buff packs are currently 820 power with about 12000 duration. my actions are higher with 903 power and about 13000 duration. the 5 that are 820 buff for an average of around 1600. my highest buff with these was about 3350. my lowest on a non battle fatigued person was about 950. with these buff packs i have only buffed under 1000 about 3 times. i would say thats out of at least 1000 total buffs (single buffs). i tracked 20 full buffs to see how many times the action buff would come out higher than the other 5. it happened once. 1 time out of 20. thats insane. the action buff is 87 points higher than my others. it should, in theory, come out ahead of the others at least 1 out of 4 times. there is no method to the madness. i buffed earlier today in one stat for 3100. the very next stat was 1100. 2000 points difference in 20 seconds with equal buff packs? the highest buff ive heard of is 4100. a master doc buddy of mine did that the other night with buff packs of around 930 power. i use +110 droid and +25 bio clothes by the way. also i always buff with no battle fatigue.

I sense the dark side in you.........
