Well, we don't really know that for sure. Has this happened to you or anyone else you know? So far, we only know of one instance in which this occurred.

Now why does this surprise you, even to the slightest degree?

Ok, I like how you now have the timer on the buffs..kudos. I buffed myself right, 3H:42M on all the buffs. I go out to hunt and happen to get slain, I clone, and the timer on the buffs is still running. Is this how its meant to work now? or did I run into a bug?

This is a long standing bug. Usually, when you're killed, you can rebuff easily enough. However, the bug appears more often when you buff yourself, log, and then come back on before the timer would have expired. Your buffs are gone, but the timer is still on so you can't rebuff.

Has anyone else had this problem after being killed? Like I said, it's been less common, but it happens.

Here's what I noticed. I buffed myself yesterday for 2hrs 39mins and the buffs faded at 2hrs 00mins. The timers were still going, but I was able to rebuff. I was not in combat, not killed, and not even moving.

The times being wrong is a different issue from the sticking buffs. When the buff goes off before the timer counts out. It is really gone, and you can rebuff... (this is true of all buff types just not doc). I'm not sure how big a priority fixing the clocks is. It may not make it until the next publish.

Sticking buffs (with no rebuff) is a different issue.

No ETA on official info for either at te moment.

I take it that we still can't over-ride buffs?

Traigus any idea if they are going to change it so people can click off their buffs? Especially unwanted ones?

Now that we have an interface w/ icons, I'm going to go hell bent to get "click-off" added (if they already don't intend it).. Since now we have a place to click things off of.

Worst case, I'll hold them to the promise to Z that we'd get overwrite.

I timed my buffs last night, and they lastes the full 2hrs 39mins, but the timers were wrong. That makes this a completely useless feature that they added. I don't see a point in having buff icons with a timer if they're not going to be correct.

Upon a death, the timers remain, but you can rebuff all the doctor buffs and the timer will reset to the new buffs.

The logout/serverboot buff timer bug is separate and is still the problem it always has been.

The one bad thing now is that Dancer/Musician buffs will not allow themselves to be redone after death (I reported this bug already).

I had a fun solution to getting rid of sticking buffs. I logged for a bit and when I came back on buffs dropped. Buffing brought up the system message stating the attribute is already enhanced. GRRRRR.

I have no room in my homes, inventory, or bank to store my bio-enhanced doc and combat clothing, nor my 1 million credit uber armor. So, having some one kill me in a duel was not a happy idea (no docs around for a rez), although I could rebuff after that.

With the new PvP system you don't get decay on anything if you are killed by the opposing faction. So, I go to my friendly recruiter and declare with crappy stats (every thing has been migrated to mind) and go to a hostile town and insult as many unfriendlies untill one gets angry enough to declare and waste me.

Happy, happy me. Lost some faction, but, no decay and I could buff again. Would not want to make a habit of this, but it was fun.

FIX THIS SOE!!!!!!!!!!
