Thread: Ninja buffers we hate you...

I'm pretty pi$$ed ATM.
I go /afk in the med centre with some minor wounds to let the natural healing mods do there thing .
I come back 10 min later to see my Helath has been enhanced by 128 by some idiot xp grinder.
Next thing is guildchat is alive with talk of a hunt in new Genosian cave.
I am now left with the choice of getting killed and suffering 1% decay or waiting an hour for the d4mn thing to wear off.
This isn't the first time this has ever happened, and in fact the guy who did it, also did it to 2 other guildies a few nights back.
I /tell the guy to ask him what the h3ll he thinks he's doing anfd I get "?" in return. He then tells to say "it's good xp for me =)".
I return "Dude I wanna go on hunt...w.t.f.?"...I'm told to "go jump off a bridge and die".
So I did something I've never had to do in 7 months of game play: I report the guy.
Not for his attitude but for actually buffing me without my permission. It will do no good but I have NO other power at my disposal, and it's annoying as all hell to be stuck with a terrible enhancement and to not be able to partake.
I realise people need XP but for god's sake they should ask first.
I would like for a /consent command to be introduced for buffs, to avoid what people like this do. I'm more than happy to let people experiment on me if they ask first: as a weaponsmith I spend a lot of time away from combat, but when I do fight I NEED buffs, simple as that.
I consider this also a form of griefing to use prior to a PvP raid, and this is another reason a /consent command should be introduced.
Well only 40 min left now so I'm gonna go and sit it out.
If any of you are levelling Doc out there please think of other players when buffing for XP...

There is a way around this.
The master doctor who was going to buff you, if he has a Rez pack, couple of quick blows to the head, deathblow and then Rez'ed.
Hay presto no more horrid buff!
I do agree that people should ask before they inflict low grade buffs on people.

i agree, if he needs xp, he can buy a CL2 pet, buff, store, call, buff, store... i did this for my last 60K of med xp to master, using only action buffs (of course...)

Oh this works now? Last time I tried that I had no enhancements when I logged back in but couldn't be buffed either.
I'll try that then. Still annoyed that this can happen without my say. Smuggler can't enhance your gun without permission of sorts. People can't rez you without consent so why is this form of griefing allowed to continue?

Hunting on Yavin means my toon needs buffs. I have no medic as I cannot afford the SP so I can't stim myself. You get the picture...

A deathblow/rez is the only reliable way to unbuff yourself... If you have aperson of the same factional alignment db you, there is no faction point penalty incurred. Decay has always taken effect upon cloning, not upon death, so whether or not the no-decay for GCW (not PvP -- if stormies kill you, you do not decay) thing works or not should make no difference in this case.
Logging out might work, once in a while, but the fact that buffs drop while the timers do not when one logs off and on has been on the doc issue list for quite a while...
And yes, ninja buffers suck... As do the (infrequent) people who provide lesser buffs than they advertise. I used to db/rez at least a couple of people a day when I buffed regularly to remove the result of one or the other...

the idea of a /consent idea isn't going to happen. or it better not. I'll quit if they put that in. It just adds another step to an already overly complex process because we have so many people who know nothning about buffs.
Person: Can I get a buff PLZZZZ
Me: Sure 6k type /consent to me

though i should have added pauses in after every time i say something there... because obviously this person can't type quickly, or is distracted by the fact his oreo makes the milk go brown!!!!

What kind of dumb noob buffs people to grind their Doctor skills anyways? Haven't they ever heard of Cantina entertainer healing? Or the famous tumbletostand trick?
Or heck, join a large hunting group, say you're the group's dedicated healer and boom. Instant XP. Much faster than buffing random people and being known as the galaxy "Ninja Buffer".
lol ... Ninja Buffer... rofl ... whoever thought of that name is a genius!!! I thought this thread was refering to Teras Kasi Masters who also become Master Doctors. TKM, Martial Arts, Ninja... ya know.
Oh P.S. to all you dumb ninja buffers out there, did you know that you could charge 1k to buff all 6 stats to people who can't afford the 6k-10k Master doctor buff that everyone is doing? It's a nice way to make money when you're just a Novice Doctor. Think about it instead of being a dumb@$$. That's what I did at the beginning and it works! Camp on Dantooine's Mining Outpost, say you offer cheap buffs for 1k and you will make money!
