Is there any hope in the near future that the 'out of range' message when we are moving even when the person we want to heal is at 4m will be fixed?

I know it's in the list and it has been mentionned... But I just lost a PvP encounter because of this again and it's really irritating. Unless someone is totally stopped we just CAN'T heal people and do our job.

adding another 5m to our range kinda like they did to mele classes to compinsate latency would be nice.

The combat system will be 'balanced' when NPC's and PC's have the same HAM.

Unlike twitch games, MMORPGs do not have constant communication between the client and server about your character's location. This helps make itpossible to have thousands of people on the same server. It is also impractical to make distance calculations for heals a client-side operation, because anything that happens client-side can be hacked and abused.

Therefore this is not a bug. It's a limitation of MMORPGs that the server cannot be expected to accurately judge the distance between two people who are moving, even though you see it on your client machine. A little extra range could help but it would significantly change gameplay.

Its an issue of lag between you and the server. I have 3 accounts, and when I play with all three, its really strange how it works out. On 1 toon they are all standing on top of eachother, If I switch over they are spread out a great deal, and on the last one, 2 are standing on top of eachother, and 1 is standing about 17m away. So there is no constant basis, which is why I would assume you get the out of range message.

So what you see on your screen isn't entirely accurate in most cases. This could also be the reason people slide around. Because even though on your computer your chilling in a chair, the server probably thinks you 10-20m away from the seat. So when the server catches up, you slide to where the server says you are....not your screen.
