and are these the best things to grind through doctor with?

The ABEC is definitely the best item to grind doc crafting with. With the well known macro going aruond (it's at http://www.SWGMedics.com if you don't know it yet) I calculated I got 3,000 doc crafting xp every five minutes. So, it took about an hour to get 33,000 xp (needed for Master Doctor's Crafting).

They give about 84 xp in practice mode. Compare that to an advanced liquid suspension which gives about 30 and you see the difference.
