As a Doc, you should never ever be killed by a combat medic, unless he is also a master rifleman.

Regardless of what profession you have with doc, if you are a master doc you should never be killed by a cm. Even if it means standing there and spamming your cure poison hotkey, he can't hurt you if the poison never ticks... If you're in a group, you can heal yourself and 2 other people before the poison ticks (1 heal every 3 seconds, poisons take 10 to tick), if you're quick and close together. For that reason, it is a good idea to break into groups of 3 in large battles with multiple CMs... When I performed as a doc on raids, I would instruct certain people to target and /follow me as soon as they were poisoned, other people went to other docs...

Part of being an effective doctor, especially in PvP, is having macros to allow you to heal things as fast as the game allows. There have been discussed in a number of threads on this board, so I won't repeat them here, but I'll copy a couple of links...

You should use /peace or /clearcombatQueue (is that it?) as the first line in all of your heal macros so that they'll happen as soon as possible.

Additionally, don't underestimate dancer and musician buffs. First, they don't take 10 minutes if the performer flourishes a lot -- they can be done in half that time. Second, they DOUBLE your mind stats for up to 2 hours. They won't save you if you let a poison tick away, but they'll make your mind bar regenerate the cost of cure poison more or less instantly.

There is also now poison and disease resistance food avialable... I imagine it would be a waste of time for a doc, given that there is also kd/dizzy/damage resistance food that could be used instead, but it is there nonetheless...

Docs are awesome in PvP, but only if they use their skills effectively... Not as awesome as Doc/Cms, but, well, what is? (that poor rifleman/cm can't heal poison...)

I have faced one cm/rifleman I am DOC/TKM and still waxed him, but I was fortunate I had my vehicle out when he attacked me (i was teffed) I jumped on bike, dismounted, KD2 and as they say good night...but if my bike wasnt out i would be dead from the rifle shots tbh, my only option would be burst running at him and hope he isnt any good!

I totally second this one. I can understand everyone crying about CMS but as a doctor there is no reason for you to cry about CMs in PvP unless you are no good at it.

I'm a master DOC/CM and as ledoa said its really hard for me as a docto getowned by another CM, never lost a duel to another CM hehe. SO I think you should check your PvPing skills before you start crying about CMs imo.

I am a master Doctor and a Master Fencer... and sometimes I mix it up in PVP. So currently I have 1100 mind stat and 950 focus and willpower. Then I juice up... Brandy, glucose, muon gold... whatever I can get.

This is as close as I can come to a good mindenhance without sitting in front of a Master Dancer and Master Musician for 10 minutes.

Now this along with my 80% all stats composite helmet is enough to fend off a rifleman for a short term... however a Combat Medic comes along and my entire bar goes away! If I am lucky I can use cure poison and cure disease which I have quicksloted... but then I need to target myself.... and then there is the problem of all my friends dying around me because the CM used a &*^&^# AOE.

So now we're cloning and if it is an assault our mind stats are gone and we cant cure them.

Finally this is the one I REALLY dont understand... when the bad guys come out of the clone chamber they run around and laugh at us and it seems like they pick the time to go aggro and I can't attack them.

I know part of it is I just don't get PVP... but it seems like these CMs rule the PVP world.

In general the "fragile mind" in SWG is the most annoying thing in the world.

macro the heals to /curePoison self;/cureDisease self; and you dont need to target yourself. put them both on the same macro so you only use one toolbar slot. But your biggest problem is your fighting the highest ranged profession with a mele weapon. I cant see you winning to many duels against a cm withought a ranged weapon.

Cure it enough though and at least you can be satisfied that you made the cm use a lot of expensive dots on you, the resorces it takes to make that stuff are not easy to get : )
