Thread: Yet another question about what i should be, your opinions please

Master Doctor/Master Combat Medic and:
Pistols 4, Rifles 4 or Carbineer 4?
I figure, with this, you can heal really well as a doctor, counter any poisons/disease by being able to heal yourself of it, and dish out some nasty poison/disease being a Combat Medic. The question is, what ranged skill 1-4 gives you the most advantage? I know they are designed to work differently and not one is really "better" than the others, but given the template, what do you say?
Novice Marksman with Pistols, Rifles or Carbines 1-4 all give the same + to accuracy, speed and ranged defense. The question is, what would help you the most?
Would a slug throwing carbine out damage a FWG5 or a E11 or Jawa rifle? Scout blaster? What do YOU THINK would work the best with the MD/MCM template? I would have the weapon sliced for damage and/or speed and be using powerups always.
I would think Rifles with the mind shot would be great, Carbines are known for their high HAM costs but you have that action shot in there and Pistols, well lol I'm not sure.
Can I have your opinion on what you would recommend? Please don't get started down the, "well you should not do any of these, go TKM or Swordsman, etc"

Id say.. since you wont take any of the elite professions to even novice.. go with pistols.. the speed should make up for everything as long as you are good about hanging back a lil as more of a support role then a frontrunner

If you can only go up the marksman tree, take pistols. You'll get the most out of it.

NoanRever, WHY do you recommend pistols? Why not rifles? What gives the pistols the advantage? Personal preference on your part or are we talking actual damage numbers?

Pistols - Fast... and you can find great pistols that do alot of damage
Carbines - High health/action to use any specials... plus its kinda slow
Rifles - Slow and powerful... if you can hit.. heh... rifles are worth it only when you make it up into the rifleman profession
