Thread: Buff Price System

The problem with this system is that it gets pretty boring to have to use a calculator every time you buff people.

As a side note, in the past I used a similar system which was easier to calculate:

For every stat:

- If buff <2000,charge 1K

else charge 2K

Most people agreed to this system beforing accepting to get buffed, because they felt it was fair. However, once they saw a bill of 12K or so , they just got pissed off. It doesn't help to tell them that this system provides an incentive to sell good buffs, etc. Buffs are commodities anyway, and they dont want to pay too much for it, no matter what fancy pricing system is being used.

So here is my $0.02: forget about fairness, charge what people pay. 10k per set is just fine, no algorithms or calculators need.

Oh, I forgot you suggested paying after each stat, so no calculators are necessarily needed (for the doc at least). But my comment about the total bill value still remains valid.

Valid yes, but uncalled for in reality. I mean in all honesty its so much easier just getting the payment as you go. I tried it both ways, and myself along with the end user perfered the pay as you go, vice lump sum. I think that if people start doing this we will have much happier and more respectful customers. Getting a crap buff for 10k really makes a lot of people upset; even if you, the doctor, thinks they are good buffs.

About your comment about the 12+k bill.....people better get use to it, because with the trade system the way it is, pretty soon people are gonna be charged much more then "the standard" 10k. People better wake up and realize buffs are not a commodity, but a privlege to have. A lot of time goes into making buffs.

Sense a few people asked me about the 1 credit per buff point system I was going to try out, I figured I would make a new post as to not go off topic in the other thread. A few people suggested to sell buffs are 1 credit per buff point. I was against it until I got a little more feedback from a few people. So I said I would give it a shot, and I must say I'm actually impressed.

From my experience I made more money charging this way then I would have charging 10k. Most people I talked to actually said they would much rather be charged per buff point. And about 60% of the time people would tip me an extra 2k-5k after I buffed regardless if it was a bad buff or not. People said they would rather pay for what they get rather then be charged 10k for crap. ***Remember to get your money after you buff each stat***

I'm not going to give all the numbers but rather the average. So here is the break down. I gave all my credits to my alt toon, so I had a balance of 0.

Sunday night after I was done buffingI had 1,247,400 credits; Thats an average of 12474 credits per person.

If I would have charge 10k, I would have only made 1 million credits. So as you can see that is a 247k difference.

----------------

So I am happy to say that yes the 1:1 credit system is much better for the end user and yourself. And as said before it also encourages people to make better buffs.....the better buffs you have, the more credits you get. So I must say, 1.2 million credits isn't bad for weekend of buffing. So I hope this encourages more people to change there system, and stop selling yourself short with 10k buffs.
