Stop charging 10k for buffs. And when you read this dont tell me I have no idea what im talking about. I am a master doc and I never charge over 5k. I charged 7k today, i have to admit that but still. Doctors charging 10k for buffs is stupid.
I charge 5k and still make twice as much as I bought the packs for, so all you greedy people stop charging it. And for everyone else, stop buying them.
I will stay at 5k for life. Hope you all will follow
I responded:
There is no reason for most docs to sell buffs:
- I can make morecredits per houroff making meds than selling buffs
- I can make more credits per hours (and have more fun than shouting "Master Doc Buffs for 5k" all day at the starport), by grouping with 6 people and killing enraged rancors on missions
- I can make morecredits by selling all the medical supplies I've harvested over the past few months
- I can enjoy the game more by hunting with friends, or flirting with dancers in the cantina, or involving myself in GCW, or by planning events, or finding new and better resources for my profession.
Put simply, it's not the "mark-up" on final prices of buff packs that makes 95% of the Master Docs in the game HIDE THEIR "Master Doc" title; it's the fact that buffing for credits in JUST NOT FUN, and not as profitable as a dozen other ways to make credits. (and they DO hide those titles)
Does that explain WHY I charge 10k for buffs? I charge 10k to drive down demand. I charge 10k because it's not worth my time to have a line of7 people (and growing), when there are better things to do in the game than buff at the starport.
I buff as a service to my fellow Servermates. VERY few times have I said no I will not buff you (only when I'm late for something). My buffs are among the best on the server. YOu want the best, you pay for it. After all, that extra 5k you paid me for buffs, can be made back 10 times over by helping missions get finished faster, saving time from cloning, having armor not kill you as fast as the creatures, and a half a dozen other reasons to get buffed.
If your buff packs are power 600-750, by all means, charge 5k for buffs.
If you've spent dozens of hours collecting resources, and meat, and have buff packs with 925 power...you should be charging 10k.
And one more thing, people who know what buffs can do...BEG to be buffed...even at 10k.

Until I can walk through Coronet on a Saturday night and not get 20+ tells for buffs, I will be keeping prices high. If people keep bothing me, I may raise them even more.

I charge 15k on gorath and haven't run into anyone yet that has complained. That guy can goto hell for being a tool. Sorry, but I have to work almost 1 week straight to get all the resources I need to make the best buffs I can. I'm not going to limit myself for 5k per person. Thats not even enough to cover travel costs.

Supply and demand.
If he can charge 10k, go for it!
If you don't like it, move along.
Stop whining, or become a Doc and find out what a pain buffing people is.
I only charge 6k, BUT, I will only buff those in my party, right before we head out. I will not buff any others. Well, there are a few fellow Imps that know I'm a Doc and my policy, I don't have a problem buffing Imps out to kill Rebs. I even buff overts for free, so the Rebs got something to run from.
And yes, I hide my title. I'm a 'pack master', atm.
I run a shop, my income all flows from there. I only charge because I don't like to give free things to people who don't need it.
In case you wonder, or think I'm just a jerk for refusing to buff, and I do, I tip the entertainers I watch/listen to 1k each, and I often give newbs cash to get started.

Also right before I buff, I say "6k and no complaints, my luck sucks" I seem to always get a buff around 1k, sadly, with my 730+ rated enhances. Ok, so I'm a little to lazy to find/buy better enhances.
