Questions

1. What method or methods do you use to counter the dreaded Combat Medic Long Bomb Throwing Destroyer of Minds?

2. On average, how many "applications" of antidote does it take to cure the poisons you are encountering in Master Class Battles? Can my meds be better? Is it worth it to use advanced components for poison cures?

3. Suggestions to be a better doctor Dentist?

I will again dig through the threads here, and appreciate the effort you folk here put in for all the docs DENTISTS.

Answers

1. Stay far back from the front and hope that the battle does not devolve into a run and gun event. Heal my own poison first and be careful not to stray out too far to /drag the stricken.

2. I fight...get poisoned by some of the best CMs in bria, so I figure their poisons are first rate. Occasionally I will get the weak sauce I can dispel in one /curepoison but most all take three times. Same for my patients.

3. Experiment with my antidotes? Do advanced components give any bonus? or is it a pass fail type issue?

Any direction, well...ALMOST any direction...appreciated.

I think advanced components do make a difference...

I have never failed to heal a poison (or disease) on the first try with a fully advanced B pack. I just made some Cs, i'm curious to see if I can cure multiple poisons with that... I'll have to let a friend stack some on me and then count the heals.

Use a macro to do all your non-damage healing. Poison, disease, dizzy, firstAid, etc. Just start spamming it when you get poisoned or dizzied...

As a doc, a CM shouldn't really give you any trouble unless he's also a master rifleman...

As for the packs to cure usualy a well made B will take out most CM poisons and diseases...But it wouldent hurt to have some killer power C's on hand as CM's seem to be getting better over all at making poisons.

As for how to deal with it...I usualy let my cm lob one back at em and i charge them for the kill. Im also master carbineer so once i get close enough they usualy go down quick. I keep a macro to cure it on myself and wen it hits me i cure it about as fast. As soon as they are dead i work my way around healing my party. But usualy im not the only doc. If im the only doc ill make sure i keep a couple key members of my group healed wile they charge the CM wile im in /follow. Ill default attack the doc and keep hitting cure macros for myself and my group as they hit us. They are tricky but with a bit of work they can be killed quite quickly. The only problem is wen they try and kite you at 80+ m...but i have ben known to wip out my swoop and rush in...usualy i take a tick or two though because i cant heal on a mount.

Edit* wen i make my cures i use high end resorces and go for all out power not uses...that makes a huge diffrence in the amount of heals you need to do. Make some crappy a's in a crate for pvm though as those poisons are never anything hard to heal.

Wook Master Doc on Bria, please hold the applause until the end...

Playing since I broke down and bought the game on July 10, I have mastered exactly 3 professions, Medic, Doctor and Sword. I did not "grind" any healing xp and only at the end did I break out the multiple crafting tools. I throughly enjoy the support aspects of the Doctor class and it is part of my Role.

I am active in the GCW and busily tend the fallen and bruised, before, during and after the Fight. Or at least I used too.

Now days I spend most of the battle hoping I don't get mind hit before the poison subsides. I think it is crap that even with my Fine WooK mind buffed to 3k I will not have time to cure a Poison before it reduces my mental power beyond my ability to use meds. But that is beside the point.

My testing with cures suggests that we actually have the advantage right now on cure strength. I have found that it is possible with using even lesser resources to get a lower level C poison cured with just 1 application of a B cure. If you are up agains Top end C poisons and want to make sure you can cure in one shot, you need to be using fairly high quality resources and experimenting on Effectiveness. YOu should have no problems curing with one application per poison applied.
