Thread: How is using your droid to craft supposed to work

O.k. first off, I rarely use my droid and everytime I call it I get the message all customizations are gone (or something like that). Anyway I feed it like 4 or more batteries (of course unlike a pet I find that they will continue to just eat batteries) then group with it, then stand by it ,then start crafting and 95% of the time the schematic I'm tryin to get will not come up.When using my droid I also find that once in a blue moon I get the chance to experiment. I'm asking here because I'm actually CM with little Doc and I've seen that some public Crafting Stations don't always let me get the Schem that I need,

Any help would be great. I'm gettin to the point where I wanna kill the stupid probot, he's more of a expensive back pack now.

Make sure you sit or stand as close to it as possible if you are having troubles, plus I trust you are using the right crafting tool right, the food and chem big red box? I dunno I use a probot as well and although the damn thing is always in the way when im trying to heal ppl it always alows me to experiment. Are you sure you have the necessary skill boxes to access the schematics you are looking for?

I know these may be silly questions but on the off chance that you may not be doing these things it may help, in regards to batteries, there is no point feeding it four at a time just give it one, ya they burn throught them like their going outta style but you wont get any added bonus from four. I've never tried crafting high quality batteries I dont even think you can experiment on them, hmmm I gotta look into this maybe you can craft a super battery.

The droid customization thing is no big deal it just means the droid wasnt coloured Im pretty sure as everytime I pull out my droid its a rainbow surprise.

Thnx for the quick response.Yea I have done some pretty rockish things in my time on line, but yea I'm usin the big red box(lol) and I do have the ability to make said product(area stim and stim C) I know it should work as it does some of the time. I just can't seem to figure out how to do it all the time.Kinda sucks bringin "out old nuts and bolts", tryin to craft before gettin on shuttle, just to keep gettin closer, backing up, and then "oh look the shuttles here, guess I need to try this later". But thanks have not tried sittin next to it, I'll try that next.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty darn tired of seeing the "Your droid's customization has completely faded" message every time I call-out my droid.

I'm also tired of my medical pro-bots not functioning as a medical droid unless it is in my group.

Ok, I'm not trying to offend you here either, but are you absolutely certain your droid has the food & chemical crafting station built in? This is not the same thing as a medical use module, they are two different items the DE has to install. The reason you can craft some of the timemay be because you're in, say, the med center and another doc has his droid out which does have a food/chem crafter built ino it.

Just a thought...

Now this may infact be the problem. When I first got the droid i was a baby ch,pist, with alittle medic in me.(sounds like a song. nm) Now I never have had the droid in the med center so that's out, the few times that it did work i was standing in the middle of a town, so possibly someone with a droid just happend to come by.But even when I use pub crafting stations alot of times the schem does not show up. I'm so confused.lol

thnx for the help tho. When i get home maybe i'll see if i can figure out if the droid has the crafting station. This may sound a bit stupid, but i'm of the school that the only stupid question is the one that goes unasked. How the heck do I tell if it has the crafting station.lol

Thnx again

Don't believe your teachers or whoever told you this. It counts against you when you ask stupid questions, there's no doubt about it. If you ask too many, people will start to think you're not too bright. It's a good idea to spend a few minutes trying to answer the question yourself, before you open your mouth, in case it has an obvious answer. If you look around someday in your career and all of your peers have been promoted and you haven't, and you're wondering why, it's probably because you ask too many stupid questions.

Sounds like you may not have a crafting station in your droid, I use a r2 driod and on the occasions i do craft with it not once has it not given me experimentation options. I've also got a probot and same with that. Unfortunately examining them doesnt tell you if you have a crafting station in it, just the medical rating which applys to buffing healing etc.

Something to note about public stations is that you dont get the option to craft some schematics and you do need a personal crafting station or working droid for these.

O.k. is it me or are these boards set up for those who believe they are Holier than thou to come to and post ignorant replies? This was going just fine until someone decided to make it personal.

I'm assuming when you started this game you knew how to do everything??? That's great you must be one of the Devs ,so you were there the whole time as this concept was being put together, and once it went live you needed no direction. Well let me tell ya I'm very happy for you.

I on the other hand have not been at this long ( a few weeks) and have spent about 90% of my time alone, as I live in a time zone that most of you are probably asleep when I get online. So to sum it up, I've had to do it all on my own.

If your post was not meant as a flame I appologize and you were attempting to be good natured then , please forgive my response .Other wise , Bruddah you should follow your own advice and think before you open your mouth. You don't know me. You "ass-u-me"" that I have not attemptedto find my answers on my own. Then you take it upon yourself to give me advice. Bro I have been around the world and have probably seen and done things you can only dream of, (no it was not due just to the military) I speak more than one language, yo hablo espanol, nihon-go takusan desu, And you have no idea what I do for a living. So yes it is very wrong of you to assume and flame on someone who tried to use these boards for what I believe they were intended for.
