Thread: Doctors should be able to craft Vaccines against poison and resist

Curing poison doesn't work because those poisons the combat medics throw are insane...I heal..next throw 800 tick...lol nice Curing Poison is not an option, just if you get a chance ..even with brandy, canap and a mind buff :/ and everything put into the mind stats as well.



I dunno how to put it, but shouldn't we be able to craft a vaccine that for a limited time that helps the immune system fighting poison..for sake of all we need a chance.

I'm not quite sure what yr saying here but I've never been tackled with a poison I couldn't cure at MD - are you using A's?

I can cure any poison with one heal, but barely that ever saves


Our only savor is the poison resist food and im ending pvp until I get some, just not worth pvping until i get my hands on some poison resist food

I couldn't agree more. Being able to cure states and DOT's when they occur is useful, but in a battle situation where diseases and states are being dished out on a widespread scale makes our close range, one on one cures somewhat useless. I definately think that inoculations are in order, each pack specific to a different type of poison, disease, or state... It would probably be a good idea to make it so that you could only have 2-3 different types of vaccine in your system at a time.A short 5-10 minute vaccine that could be administered before a battle would be a blessing (perhaps even include a sort of 'downer' afterwards that would prevent people from being constantly immune to diseases and states).

I have an opinion on this, I have many other ones too :-)


I think doctors should get an innoculation pack. I think it should give a resist to poison and disease, but absolutely not a complete immunity to it. There always needs to be a chance for a poison or a disease to stick.


I would really like to see the packs require combat medicine components to make them. Call it the Ying Yang thing. Right now combat medics have to buy our components from doctors for our heals since we cannot expirement them. Now I have both CM and Doctor so I am pretty much immuned to these problems, but others are not.


In any case. If it took combat medic components to create the resist packs, then it would give us CMs something to sell. We would sell a lot too.


I know there are a lot of hatred out there for CMs right now. Everyone wanting to call nerf nerf nerf. This is the type of nerf, if you want to call it a nerf, that actually balances the profession. Yes it is a lowering of our effectiveness, but it also requires someone to be proactive about the resists. There is always going to be the chance that the resist buffs will go away in combat and then the target is in trouble again.


I also think that these resists should have a short time span to them. 15 or 20 minutes tops.

As you are undoubtedly aware, innoculations and vaccines are on the master list of doc issues. I agree these abilities would be a nice balance to CM diseases and poisons, and I have supported that by voting for them. I urge all who would like this ability to vote for them too.


I also think armorsmiths or tailors should get the ability to craftanit-bio/anti-chem gear, but thats for a different forum.

well the perfect counter would be area poison heal , but i dont see it happening.


like last night i was in a alrge battle and other side had 2 CM with some great poisons, well i used over 200 poison heals that night. i wasnt the only doc also. so almost whole group was getting nailed by rifle men, only defense was to go inside out base and hope there TKA's didnt run in lol.


but we won in the end just took about 50 imp players to kill off 12 of the best rebel on our server lol.
