Thread: Docs, new idea to counter poison!

Please, ask for an Area Poison/disease cure! Its getting completely rediculous that CM's can kill of an entire group with 1 mind poison. If you guys got a area cure, its would counter it perfectly. Theres not enough docs to go around single handedly curing everyone in the group, and by that time, most people are dead.

I'm afraid to say, there's absolutely nothing new about this idea. It's been on the doctor's issue list for months.

Doctors don't want CMs to have a cure of any type and CMs don't want Doctors to have an AE of any type. AE cure would be treading on the toes of two opposite professions.

How about an annocculation that can be given that can be administered before the battle that raises a players resists to poison/disease.

As I said before they should give something like that to medicen men who are doing both professions.

Actually I really like the idea of having an innoculation type thing that gives you a bonus to resist for a set period of time... That would be cool. I don't like the AoE idea at all... Keep the two professions Separate!

Right now the balancing factor in this is that CM disease and poison sometimes take more than 1 shot to effect a person. I have never needed more than 1 cure shot to wipe out the poison or disease. An AoE cure could be a new schematic thathas 100 Med Use and 100 Combat Med Use, thus requiring you to be a MCM / MD to use it.

I thought the new food could prevent poison and disease. Got to agree with the whole stepping on each other's toes bit though, allowing us to wipe out all of the poisons in 1 hit would basically make being a CM a total waste of time as it would stop their only means of attack.

Depends on the experimentation, ingredients, crafters skill etc etc. I think I had about 36 or so as my area of effect for some of my poisons though I didn't really know what I was doing when I made them so that's probably quite poor.

Yeah, CM's are already the only combat class that can't kill anything with the skills in their profession. Since all disease and poison packsend at +1.
