I'm doing doctor for holocron, but anyways.

Wound treatment speed seems not to work at all. I have that tree full and heal at same speed as novice doctor. The time it gives you when you try to use it before allowed goes down the right amout, but you still can only heal about every 10 secs or so, novice or master.

Didn't see it in list of issues and thought you all might like to know a full tree of your profession might be broken.

Note, I could be wrong because I have hardly done doctor at all. If I am wrong please let me know and ignore this post.

But how can I say you're wrong if I'm ignoring this post?!

You're wrong. There are two different speeds. One affects damage healing (with stimpacks) and one affects wound healing and buffing (medpacks).

The damage healing speed line is the Medic skill Diagnostics. You can't get any faster than Diagnostics IV. The wound/buff speed line is Doctor's Wound Treatment Speed. You can't get any faster than Master Doctor.

Doctor's Wound Treatment Speed definitely makes a difference. A Medic or Combat Medic has about a 30-second refresh on wound heals. A Master Doctor has only about a 16-second refresh.

While you are correct in what you said, I think you mis-understood me. I am talking about the wound/buff packs. And my point was novice Doctor and master doctor speed on them is the exact same (May be faster then medic)

I know this because I am buffing to grind through Doc. I went up the speed tree to get through faster and go no faster at all. That means most of that tree is broken.

For how much the + to speed is check the combat boards. A +25 should be 25% faster.

Novice Doctor buff speed = about 10 sec.

Master wound treatmentbuff speed = about 10 sec.

The +75 I have should make it 2.5 secs instead of 10, and +100 at Master Doctor should make it 1 sec. (1 sec being min)

Does this clarify what I am saying? (I do think the stim speed increase for medic does work correctly)

Try it with wound healing. After all (and I'm not trying to be a smart aleck) it iswound treatment speed and not buff teatment speed.

The previous poster is correct about wound treatment. Wound treatment takes MUCH longer than buffing. I was amazed when I performed my first buff and could do it again in justa few seconds because I thought they would be on the same timer. Once you heal a wound you can't do it again for about 30 seconds as a novice doc.

It may be that buff speed is done with a different mod than wound treatment. However why the wound treatment mod affects your buffs power but the wound treatment speed mod doesn't affect the buffs timer is beyond me.

Perhaps more experienced docs can shed some light on this subject?

I just recently re-grinded through Doctor all the way back to master. Did it mostly with wound heals.. and then enhances (when I was able). I can say at least last week, wound treatment speed was definately working. I heal wounds considerably faster now at Master Doc, then I did at Novice Doc. Granted, it's not as fast a damage (which seems to be around 4-5 seconds).

Ok, that sounds like the explaniation then. For wound treatment not buffs.

The odd side note however. When I did a buff I did a second one immediatly after and got the message about "you can't do that for another x seconds." At novice this was 8 I believe, while at level 4 in speed it was 4 seconds. The time after this timer was done and before I could buff I got message "You have to wait to do this action" and that message would come up for the last 6 seconds before I could buff again. That is why I thought it was wrong (It still may be), but at least the tree does have some effect for wound treatment.

[edited for clarity] Buffs and wound heals take exactly the same amount of time to refresh. There is no difference between them except thatthe game tells you a different number of seconds for each, and I don't know why. But the physical delay is the same. If you're making a macro at master doctor /pause 16 is the safe number for both.
