Thread: What's the difference between combat medic and a doctor who fights?
Doctors do everything else that a Combat Medic can't and vice versa. Sounds good?

Combat Medics throw poison/disease gernades and can also heal your Mind.
Doctors heal their friends and can only heal Health and Action
I'll give a more precise description:
The Doctor's strength lies in his ability to heal wounds in all of the upper 6 stats, healing every type of state (blindness, dizzy, poison, diese, etc..) and getting someclose range stims. The doctor is the only profession that can bring a dead player back to life using revive packs.
The Combat medic cannot heal wounds, cannot heal states, and does not getclose range med packs. The CM gets long range med packs (think of a healing grenade), can apply poison and diesese from long range (thing of a healing grenade but change healing to applying diesese), and gets some nice terrain negotiation skills. He can not revive players
I hope this clears some things up.
Minor clarificatoin on PaladinCleric's post.
Combat Medics can cure wounds. Just not as well or as quickly as doctors (the difference between a 200 point wound heal, and a 1500 wound heal).
Also, Doctors most potent ability is their ability to buff the health, strenght, constitution, action, quickness, and stamina pools of themselves and anyone else they so desire. Combat Medics cannot buff.
#1 - Doctors can't buff their mind
#2 - Combat Medics can damage mind
#1 + #2 = Doc get mind poison and wounds, CM just has to Mind Shot if they can (or hope they attack the Doc's mind) and poof. It's over! CM wins!
Even if the Doc keeps healing himself, the CM can do too, thus never getting hurt. It's all about mind!
