Thread: Fair Price for StimB Fact crates?
What is a fair market value for a crate of Experimented (Almost max Effect) Stim B's?
Annnnyway. The average price varies from server to server. For 3 advanced components and a very high quality stim, I'd probably charge around 1200 credits a stack. Whether or not you give a bulk discount on 25/50 is up to you. I give a 10% discount on 50, but I may discontinue that policy soon.
Adjust your prices based on your sales. If you sell too fast and demand never slows down, you could probably raise the price. If you have a lot of competition, then you may have to drop the price.
"It should be free. I mean, you get exp when they use up your stims. Stop talking about charging and get back to working for other people."
Yes. And I would as soon as they give me some free resources for my stims. I am expecting 10,000 Lokian Wild Wheat any day now.
As for the Crates, I actually don't give much of discount. I charge 350 for Stimpack B (240 heal /21 charge), I charge around 3200 for crate of 10, and 6000 for crate of 20. Reason is simple. It takes just as much time for me to produce crate of 50 then sell one at a time or sell it all at once to one person. The time it take me to sell stack of 50, 100 or even 300 stimpack is much much less than time for me to make them.
What I mean is that given the fact that it takes HOURS to make create of 100, and I can sell crate of 100 in less than 30 min, one at a time in bazaar, it does not help me at all to sell it in crate form except it means less money in my pocket.
I am running two factory, 24/7 (me and my brother keep it producing evey single minute of the day) and I produce about 300 - 500 Stimpack B's and C's in 24 hr period and I hate, HATE when people ask for crate of stuff.
My personal feeling is they save TONS of space by carrying 40 crate of stimpack for mere space of 5 in their inventory and I am down good 2 - 5% from sale. and I feel HORRIBLE if I don't give them discount for selling them in crates, so I just say nuh-uh, my factory broke, no crates today.
Seeing as how I easily sell all my 25/207 stim Bs on the bazaar for 500 each, I'd sell a crate for 25,000cr. Otherwise, why bother? I have manufacturing costs and all, and I'm running a business here.
For near-full stim Bs with advanced components? I wouldn't think of selling a crate for less than 50k. Probably more like 75k. Why? Because I guarantee I could sell a 40/400 Stim B for 1k on the bazaar. Again, why bother to sell crates for less? As has been pointed out, crates are an advantage to the buyer, not the seller. An extra advantage usually means greater profit for the seller. If I was selling 2 or 3 stims a day, and someone offered to buy a crate of 50 -- well, THEN I would start thinking about offering a discount, because the buyer is doing me a huge favor by guaranteeing a large purchase. But if my turnover is heavy (and it is), I have very little incentive to offer crate discounts. In fact, I should be offering crate premiums, for the inventory space bonus -- but I wouldn't do that.
I'm always amused by these "what is a fair price" threads, because the answer is always - ALWAYS - the same: However much you can charge and still sell the item. That's it! Basic microeconomics!
I sell a crate of 50 355_34 charge stim b's for 42500.
Wish I had the resources Elenora has though. ![]()
HAHA, it should be free because we get experience when people use them? Are you saying that you think that houses, guns, armor, and droids should also be free, since the creator gets experience for them as well? Also, what incentive does that give a crafter to continue crafting after he has mastered his skill? If you enjoy your high damage weapon and highly effective stimpacks, you need the masters to continue crafting and selling their wares.
Should be free. I havent heard something quite so funny in a little while, I appreciate the laugh.
On Scylla - - I charge 600cr for a 31charge/280-300 heal. A crate I sell for 30k (50 packs).
