Thread: for those of you who sell stims for cash.....

I am currently a buff only doc.... i havnt made a single stim b since i was a noob doc and needed some for personal use.... i hear a lot of docs saying they make a ton of cash selling stim bs on the bazaar.... how should i go about starting this? the only resources i have right now are high quality buff pack resources... i dont really want to use my buff pack resources for stims.... should i go collect just whats out there for advanced components, making poor quality but cheap, or get high quality orgainics/inorgaincs and go from there?

get some high oq and pe organics and high oq and ut inorganic, ALS ABEC and CRD, then go to a reserch center find a good crafting station, and it's realy easy to get 25-30 charges 250-400 power stim B's

a plus 25 medical experinemtation set of tape helps alot to. I have a set and I always were it, I only thought of that after I hit the post button, with one, it's realy easy.

PE? On water? I thought it only had OQ and some other stat, DR I think but I'm probably wrong. I've recently started to dabble in stim Bs just to see if they sell and sold 50 of them on Saturday through the bazzar alone, 1.4k for 38 charges of 356 power I think, not the best in the world as I was only using up old components but people seemed to buy them. When I was a medic I used to make all of my money making woundpack Bs as there always seemed to be a shortage of them on my server, but now I'm reluctant to waste my dolovite on ASDS when I should be putting them in buffpacks so I can see why no many docs bother making them.

I charge 2k per ~35/400 stim B's on the bazaar (Corbantis). They seem to fly off the shelf.

Use advanced bio effect controllers experimented on for power (no that's not a typo experiment for power not charges).

Use Advanced Liquid suspensions because they are pretty cheap (6 water, 6 berries) and the bulk of your power will come from them.

Use REGULAR chemical release duration mechs. Conserve that herbivore meat.


I like to experiment for power on the ABEC's because using only regular CRDM's means you generally won't get a power above 19 and you need every extra bit of juice you can get.


Using that setup 100% of your resources can be extracted by harvesters (no meat) so you can pull them in bulk Find a good organic, inorganic mix and you are set. If you can get a 350/30 stim B (which you should be able to get EASILY) you've got something that'll sell.


Raising the bazaar cap to 6000 was a great thing. I can sell crates of 5 on the bazaar for 5500 and I'll put up a 20 crates of 5 count stims and those will last for about 2-3 days. You'll find that selling on the bazaar nets a nice tidy side profit.

I like to try to make two types of stims. High power/low charges and High charges/low power.


High Power/Charges are used by PvP'ers. They will pay the most per stim. For them try to use ACRDM and max power ABEC.Jack up the price to make up for herb/class 4 costs.


High Charges/low power are used by hunters. They burn through stims fast so they buy in bulk. For them use CRDM and max charges on the ABEC's. Make them cheap and sell in bulk.


For all stims use the best organic, inorganic, dant berries, and talus water you can find.


There are two routes to go with the org and inorg. Most folks think the org has OQ and PE and the inorg has OQ and UT. Sometimes it is more cost effective to go with orgs with OQ and UT such as wood and inorg that have OQ and PE such as power. I have saved a ton of money farming some great wood and then buying power. Just be sure you use one route or the other, dont mix them. For example, never use wood with metal, or wheat with power.

I've been selling B's and C's on the bazaar in coronet and if you have good oens, they'll go fast. I've been restocking the bazaar 2-3 times a day. My B's are 42/414 and I sell them for 2k. My C's are 48/620/30 and I sell them for 3k.

Experiment for "power" not charges on abec's? I thought I read that one should experiment for "charges" since power had no observable effect? Has something changed?

Some doctors seem to prefer going for power on abec's but I think most prefer charges. Of the 3 sub components used in a stim the abec is the only one that you can experiment for charges on. It all depends which the customers on your server prefer, more power or more charges. I always max the charges in my abec's ad right now my stim B's are 42/434 and my stim C's are 48/640/30. I figure I'm getting enough power already without needing more at the expense of charges.

No I usually experiment on charges normally but for stims that I sell I experiment on power. I try to make my stims with 30 charges and that's not hard to do. Since I'm using regular CRDM's and not advaned ones I want to squeeze every bit of power that I can in my quest to make a 400 power stim B using only regular CRDM's. The highest I've been able to do so far is 382 or so. . .


So for stim B's that I sell I experiment on power for the sole purpose of squeezing a few extra points for power in that final combine.

You're right it's not. If this were for a buff pak or meds for personal use I'd never do this. However if my target for stim paks that I'm selling is 30 charges (which I'm able to hit easily) and if I REALLY want to make a 400 power stim B without using an advanced CRDM (trust me I REALLY want to try to pull this off because I know it's possible)then I'll squeeze out power any way I can get it

I've pretty much determined that unless I get some uber dant berries I won't be able to do it since I can't get my ALS above 152 (and this is with +900 OQ Talus water). I've only been a doc for a few months so I've missed out on many of the the "this is the best stuff to ever spawn ever on this server ever" type of resources so I'm doing what I can with what I got.
