Thread: The Correct Species for Doctor
Zabrak's and Mon Calimari both get good bonuses to their mind stats, but right now Human is the best choice.
Humans can migrate their mind stats up to 1100 points on any stat. Other species cannot migrate their mind stats nearly as high.
What I have done is minimize all the stats for both Health and Action and dumped all of those points into the Mind stats. To compensate for my low Health and Action, I simply buff them with my buff packs. If you look around, you'll see a LOT of people doing this (even non-doctors).
I'm doing that too ^^^^^^
1100 mind, 950 focus, 950 willpower, 400 to all other stats.

Zabrak has /equilibrium, which is essentially a full mind heal once per hour when buffed. It redistributes the points in your HAM evenly. Let's say buffed you have 3k health, 3k action and 2k mind.If your mind bar isdrained but health/action are still full and youhit equilibrium, it will distribute the 6k remaining HAM as 2k/2k/2k.
That's a very handy ability, especially if you are a PvP doctor. It enables you to beat mind poison even if your mind is drained, it means your enemies have to take down your mind bar twice, etc. Zabrak base mind stats can be set to 1000 mind, 900 willpower, 500 focus.
U can use any class for doc i would think. with brandy i can PvP as a rodian master cm/master doc in full composite. its all about the money
Ahazi
Quasi (BROOD)
I migrated my mind at mind/focus/willpower 1100 800 1100
I NEVER run out of mind even in combat, using area stims, poisons, rez and stuff, it NEVER happened.
when I buff people, my mind is always at max value, the time the buff needs to "load" my mind fully regenerates. I don't need to use foods or mind buffs, even in combat.
I'd like to say that human are pretty cool cause of the high willpower/focus values
2 things.
1. After playing this game 1 week from release and trying many different professions I've come to the conclusion thatspecies means nothing in this game. Any species can be anything.
2. Be careful with those human stats. Many people (including myself) consider it a bug since it wasn't this way in the beginning, appeared out of nowhere (the october D-day patch) and totally erases all HAM penalties/bonuses from other species and is therefore unbalacing. You would be blind to not realize that the ability for a human to raise ANY secondary higher than any other species is unbalancing. Before the D-Day patch the limit for humans was 600 on all secondaries. Without any warning or any notice in the patch notes or any word whatsover from the devs all of a suddenthey can go to 1100. This is what makes me think it's a bug. Enjoy it now because I don't think it'll be around much longer.
