So where does everybody prefer to get their avain meet?
What type of creatures do you kill?

I hunt wherever the quality is at the moment. Then I hunt whatever I can kill with the least fuss.

I do the same. Hunt wherever the best meat is. I love it when the good stuff is on Lok, as there seems to be more/larger avian creatures there. I like going after Perleks there, since I can get a good amount of meat off of them.

on bria at the mo' the best stuff is on talus and it took me hours of killing rasps to get 4k of 919 OQ avian!

Scarey, I like on talus, and Rasp's are not the only thing that give Avian....Devil Giglles (or something like that) if 24-35 units per kill....and they are to tough to kill. They look likewhiteTeridacdalls.

yeah, but i was solo and dont have many combat skills
I was killing farnock's (or whatever they are called) too but i got ganged up on by about 12 and had to run away!

Watch out though, OQ isn't everything... we got a 980 OQ spawn on Sunrunner, with 422 PE... and the result is bad compared to my old 780 OQ meat. So test it first.
Otherwise I also hunt depending on where the good meat is, and I also prefer LoK.

First, check the link above that filters swgcraft.com for med resouces. It will tell you the best planet.
Second, take a look a the Doc FAQ document. In there you will find most (not all) of the creatures by planet to hunt. It will also tell you the key things to look for in a resouces such as avian (OQ, PE, DR) which will help in first step.
Third, go to the planet and try to get missions. Most are low level so you may have to ungroup and disarm to get the missions. You can also just ride around but getting missions is sometimes faster especialy if you are in a group since you can stack up a bunch of missions.
It is always best to be in a group (more meat per kill). So break out your pets (I think even a droid counts but im not sure).
If you have no killing skills I feel for ya. I was like that for a long time. Nothing sader then a doc on his back. You might try paying a killer to go with you. With a good killer you can pick up a lot of meat fast since they can kill most avain with just one shot. Many hunters are out to make cash since the missions are low pay you can suggest that you pay them $$/hr. If they can harvest you can double you harvest per kill and your kill rate goes way up. Say you pay them 50k/hr and you collect 1k of meat that works out to be 50 cr/u. Not bad for good avain.

I pay people to hunt for me. Even paying 100 cpu for good avian meat, it costs us a total of 2200 credits to purchase the avian for 1 buff pack. Mine your own resources you can place a harvester on, and purchase the ones off creatures (herbavore meat and avian), and you will still get rich incredibly fast. 2200 credits of avian allows one to earn a minimum of 25k credits. I would pay you 22 cents to help me earn $2.50any-day.

This is wrong, when grouped you get less meat per harvest but all group members can harvest each kill so the group combined can get more meat in total pre kill. Don't group with a pet or droid if your soloing for meat, they will halve your harvest size per kill. You can test this easily, just kill something grouped and harvest then repeat ungrouped,with hunting 4I get 24 avian from a kaadu male ungrouped but only 12 units if I group my pet.
