we know exactly how much the buff will be for.

im thinking of charging at least 1 credit per buff point. 2 if on a leet planet. 3 or more i f i dont like them.

based on 2k buffs thats 12k / 24k / 36k +

or maybe.....

2k buffs = 12k

2.3k buffs =20k

1.7k buffs = 8k

double that for leet planets

anyone else ?

Currently I'm planning on keeping my price at 10K for a set. Maybe I'll raise prices later.

Do the following things really affect buff quality? If so, how will they factor in to the new equation?

1. BF on the part of the doctor

2. BF on the part of the patient

3. Armor worn by doctor

4. Armor worn by patient

5. Wounds on the part of the doctor

6. Wounds on the part of the patient

Most people swear that BF does impact buffs, but it is mixed out there as to whether armor or wounds affect them. I'd be really curious to know this....

Never Proven to have any effect

2. BF on the part of the patient

Patient BF effects healing of wounds at about BF > 200. Since buffs work off the wound treatment base it is assumed to play some part.

3. Armor worn by doctor

I never noticed any difference except that my +25 wound/injury treatment enhances are in my clothes, not my armor.

4. Armor worn by patient

Still never noticed any difference.

5. Wounds on the part of the doctor

Never saw any difference.

6. Wounds on the part of the patient

Still never saw any difference. I just clean up all wounds as part of my buffing service.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the detailed answer Travin...pretty much what I thought, except I always thought that the doc having BF hurt too. Now I can skip those trips to the Cantina before buffing! Of course, we docs are a superstisious lot...

NOTE TO PATIENTS: I ask you to sit down not because it will give you a better buff but because it makes it less likely I will hit the wrong patient with a buff! =)

Don'tcharge by points... If the guy has too much BF you will get less money because of it. You shouldn't lose money because of them right? I'll stick to my 10k too.

I check them first for BF and tell them to go get it healed before buffing. They usually agree to do this since they want the best buff possible.

When I first started buffing, I could've sworn the level of my Mind bar had an effect, ie. below 50% would yeild poor results.

Now I think I am wrong, pretty sure I am.

P.S. I'm looking forward to non-random buffs, I'm tired of getting embarrassed when I hit one guy for 1500 and then his friend for 3100 off the same pack.

I could see some docs charging a bit more if the person requests they use tempori for them. The 100+ more buff might be worth something to them.

The only effect BF, Armor or wounds on the Doctor have is to raise the mind costs of healing.. no effect on the buff itself.

Armor on the patient should have no effect.

It is not curerently clear at this time if BF on the patient starts affecting buffs at 200 or 300.
In beta it was said 200, but in live the message usually appears (BF is affecting your healing) after 300. I have a rquest in to find out where it is supposed to be.

BF = 1% penalty per 10 points once it crosses this line (200 or 300), so 301 is always a 30% reduction off of the final roll while 150 is nothing... 920 = 92% reduction... 201 to 300 is unknown.

heh I am still charging 8k and give great buffs most of the time (been getting primaries over 3k alot lately) I could charge 10k and do some nights when I feel poor (after buyin 20k of old good quality class 4 petro for instance or 20k of good herb meat.) I tip back fairly often (which I don't have to do but I do it anyway... unless they ask me to tip them back then I won't) I probably won't be changing my prices because it is too much work.

I'll probably charge 15k-20k for the high-end buffpacks and 10k-12k for the 850ish buffpacks.
