First off, I'm not a doc. Here's my story.

My guildmate got a small group together and he offered to buff us all for free. As he's buffing us, a group of people come running over and demand they be allowed in the group and can get buffs.

He rejects them saying we're big enough.

We leave for our first mission. Only to find a few of them following us on bikes. So, we split up. I go right. The doc goes straight. The others go left.

They continue following at a far distance the ones who go left. They taunt us when we meet there. We split again and take a drive. The guy starts shooting at our pickets.

We come back he's gone. I need buffs sometimes too, but, this behavior is just bizarre.

Some people need to lay off big time.

Some people seem to think doctors have some kind of obligation to buff them, as if the Master Doctor box comes with a "required to buff all people who ask" tag.

I say **edit** them. You want a buff that bad pay me 100k and you got it.

I'm starting to feel really bad for the Doc's. I haven't been a Master Doc for even a day and I am allready in tell hell. Most of them are nice put requests and understand that even if I have buffs I only use them for myself and friends (because I don't have the resorces to make more/better)(I got that reply on a macro ).

I have never used the ignor funktion (never had to) But within 2 houres 4 people made it on that list

I had one person tell me that since my Master Doctor title was up that it means I'm buffing. Well his title said Master Gunfighter, and he wasn't killing anything at the time. I don't know how other doctors deal with buff packs management, but all my packs are the same power and charges. This is the reason why I only sell full sets of buffs. I get /tells all the time by hologrinding musicians and dancers wanting just stamina or quickness buffs. I think of this as selling a left shoe and keeping the right one, and it's hard to sell just a right shoe.

If you really only buff yourself and your mates (which is fine by the way!) then there is an easy way to stop the /tells.

Don't show Master Doctor as your title.

I dont ever buff anyone that I am not friends with ingame. The only other people that I buff who are not my friends are jedi.

When I get a /tell from someone I dont know asking for buffs, I hit my response macro key. It goes like this:

/r I am not buffing right now. If you feel a dire need to pester me about buffs, I will sell you a full set for 75,000 credits. I do not buff people I dont consider friends, and I am not here to be everyone's personaly buff **edit**.

You'd be surprised how many times I've actually gotten that 75k for buffing someone who REALLY REALLY REALLY wants a buff. I'm not gouging anyone, cuz that message is up to deter people from asking me again. They usually complain after I buff them that they were expecting all stats to be buffed 3.5k or higher, and thats when i tell them "hey... i warned you in my response"

Too bad we can't turn off the Master Doctor Badge in our bios. That's how people find me all the time.

True. Thats how i'm found out alot of the time as well. I usually sport my TKM tag, but it really doesnt help. People know that I am a MDoc, and pester the hell out of me.

Yes people are disrespectful jerks who don't care at all. These are the people that think they are entitled to get the best stuff at the least amountof work for themselves. A member of the Tempest community had the best idea when he suggested that if you don't want to be bothered just make your /afk message "No" and leave it at that.

The way I get around people constantly /tell me is to not only switch my title from Master Doctor to novice pietoleer, but to also switch the search ability off, that way they cant search for me.

Thing is though, my bank balance has really taken a hit since doing it

I'm set as unsearchable and I keep my Novice Pistoler title up all the time. If someone checks your bio, they will see that you are/were a Master Doctor.
