I just made and tested the fire blanket on TC.

Resources needed:

26 Rori Fungus
44 Aluminum
2 identical BECs
2 identical Synth cloth


It can be experimented for ease of use, charges and effectiveness...

It has about 50 charges with high experimentation in charges. (The one i made had 49 charges)

It has Med use about 67 without any experimentation.(no experimentation points put into this)

I do not know if effectiveness does anything because with 9 experimentation points in charges and 1 in effectiveness it was used 11 times in a row sucessfully... 10 times on several others (thanks for the help and burns Joaraddan and Ahab) and once on myself.

The command to use this, /extinguishFire uses about 240 (give or take depending on secondarys I'm sure) mind pool points when used.

[Edit] The command necessary to use the Blanket is in Doc Treatment Speed 3 and the Schematic is in Doc Medical Crafting 4.

Question, is the Fire Blanket just a schematic granted in Doctor or is there an actual skill associated with it like Cure Poison and Cure Disease? If it is just a schematic how low can the Med Use be experimented?

so if this is a schematic that doctors get, can we still use a Food/Chem factory, or do we need a Wearables factory? Seems odd to massproduce blankets from anything other than a wearables factory... not that I'd like having to purchase one.

Nice, another useless or undocumented thing to experiment on (effectiveness). SoE will never learn...

Is the synth cloth made by tailors?

The Schematic is granted in Doc crafting 4 and the command needed to use it is granted in Doc treatment speed 3.

The needed Synth Cloth is made by low level Tailors and I do not know if the blanket is made in a food and chem factory. I will test this later but I expect it to be able to be made in the factory the majority of us already have.

syncloth is made in a wearables factory. Man i havent posted here in a while. Not a doc anymore but figured i would check your forums to see how the fireblanket and new buff system were going to work.

Silly question, but here goes... Is Synth Cloth the same as Synthetic Cloth or are these two different items?

Same item just shorter to type....

It seems silly that you needa high-level doctor skill to use the blankets--I mean, you'd think anyone could wrap themselves in a blanket...
