Advanced Components withaverage resources ornormal components with great resources?
Just wondering if it's worth the trouble to try to find high quality resources for my ABEC, ALS, and advanced chemical whatchamacallity.

Definately the Advanced components. In general, a bad advanced component is better than a great normal component.
However, the first place to cut cornerswould bewith the ACRDM. Many Doc's just use the regular variety because Herbivore meat issuch a chore to collect. If your herbivore meat is in short supply, then save your ACRDM'sfor buff packs, and useregular CRDM's in stimpacks.

Adv. with average resources.
The CRDM is a good example. The theoritical maximum fora basicis 20 power. I make 19 power all the time with some 957 OQ Polymer and 940 OQ 968 PE Domesticated Wheat.
Using absolutely TERRIBLE Herbivore meat... OQ less than 100 and PE less than 400... and TERRIBLE Class 4 Liquid Petro... around 250 OQ and 300 PE... I made a 31 power Adv. CRDM I believe. With average Herb and average Class 4, you'll make between 40-60. To hit higher than 60 you'll need some higher quality resources.
The principles hold true with all the other subcomponents. However.. I never waste my Herb meat on ACRDM's for anything other than buff packs because of the difficulty in acquiring large stacks of meat.

It's worth it. I think however the answer to your question depends on what you're making. Your components will make a smaller difference, relatively speaking, on higher end items (like Stim E) because they add a fixed amount to your final product.

Advanced Liquid Suspensions are an absolute MUST for Stimpacks. The resources are fairly easy to get, and the schematic uses fewer per unit than any of the othres. Plus it will make the biggest single impact on your stims. Take the power of the stims your currently making with regular LS and add 100, and thats how much better they will probably come out.
