Let me see if I get this right.
Once Publish 7 is released, which will be on Tuesday according to the powers that be, I can buff myself over and over trying to get as high a buff as possible. If the buff is higher than the previous one, it sticks. If it is lower than the previous one, the old one stays and the new one is discarded?
I'm well on my way to Master Rifleman and will be mainly buffing myself, so I want to make sure I understand this correctly.

thats correct, but... if you use the same base packs it will have a fixed value. No more random stuff

Don;t think that matters much anymore. The buff variance is gone. The removal will aid in the stealth-buffs griefing players.

So if I use the same buffpak every single time, I will get the exact same buff every single time?

I wonder if this is a good thing or a bad thing, right now i buff 700-2500, after the patch you think i'll be buffing closer to 2500 or 700?

From what I have read you will do the average, so it looks like 1600 for something that was 700-2500.

The formula is in one of the sticky threads.
ALl that happened is they took a random roll off the end of the process.
Before, your packs made a nice number, then there was a random % apllied to it.
They took away the %, so the packs actually are doing the same amount, just without the random roll afterwards (+ or - ).

here you go...
i currently have wound treatment 100
bio clothes +25
bivoli +22
droid +10
= 157
using 850 buff packs that wil give me a buff as follows
850 x 1.57
+
850
= 2185
take away the bivoli and the droid = (850 * 1.25 ) +850 = 1913

Hmm, I wonder if they've changed the way 'heal enhance' works, or whether they've changed the way 'heal wound' works. If the later, will there no longer be any variance in wound healing too?

Ack, I didn't think about that. When I buff I simply sit there and hit heal enhance until it says there's no stats to be enhanced, if I try that after patch 7 will I have just pumped 8 health buffs into someone and them have the same result as 1 pack?

hrmm. the auto select on /healenhance may not work, since you can overwrite.. I didn't try it.. I never buff with the wildcard.. I'll take a shot at it on TC after I get home.
You may have to start doing /healenhance stamina , /healenhance health etc. again.
It may cruise through 1 set of buffs before it hangs up on the first buff.
I macro almost nothing ( even type out pet commands as sentances, not 1 letter). So sometimes I forget some of these things when I test stuff. Sorry.
/healwond wasn't modified. it still has the same set randomenss as /healdamage.

do what i do and have the packs on a shortcut bar.
you can see what you have left and when you just want to buff 1 stat (action and its 30 per pack not 28)
