Its just a big roll of the dice.....buffs are so random, its hard to answer any of your questions. And currently a lot of us Docs are noticeing a big change in buff average....so who the heck knows anymore..

There is a range that your buffs can go. The high and low ends of the range is determined by the power of your enhance packs and your level in doc. There is still a randomness factor that chooses where in this range you will enhance, regardless of how good your buffs are or how good of a doctor you are. For example, a Master Doctor using 900 enhance packs might buff around 1.5k-3.2k, while a non-master doctor using 300 enhance packs might buff for around 700-2k.

SO if I have a buff pack at 930...which I do....how come even after buying a new droid, clothing and making new buffs (went for 918 to 930), I can't buff higher then 1.7k.....although before the Decay patch I was hitting for 2.2-3.2k every time. Now I'm lucky if my average is 1.3k....and I'm a MD Hmph....something to think about.

I am a MD on Lowca. I really hate people who are a 0040 dr and are able to buff as high as me with the 89 medical use packs. It would be different if they could buff to 2.5k and I could buff up from 2.5 to 3k. That would be different. It would mean that all the time I spent working my way to the top was worth something.

But who knew.

Shame on the docs that sell buffs....that make this an issue though

Hello all,

Just a general question regarding buffs. I would like to know if there is a food or other supplement that will buff my Health and Action (and secondary stats), instead of having to visit a doctor? Something similar to what Bandy does for the mind, but for H & A and their secondaries. Thanks much.

Yes. There are many foods that buff your secondaries. With the nerf to Doc buffs (nerf to the high quality buffers - boost to the crappy buff crafters), acquiring a list of chef foods through master may be a good idea. Have you checked the chef profession board?

wow i couldn't disagree more with that assessment of the buff changes

how is the ability to state up front what quality and duration you can deliver and follow through without surprise low rolls a nerf to quality crafting?? so you can't randomly end up with a roll that's six times your 'patient's' original stat... you also don't random the 1.5x ones! you deliver a solid 3-4 times original stats with buff quality directly tied to crafting quality and the ability to state in advance what you're able to deliver (a product which is always, every single time, superior to what the crappy buff crafters are tossing together with no surprises.) i absolutely do not see how that can be interpreted as a nerf to good crafting

sorry for the hijack, lol, /rantoff... somechef foods you may be interested inarewon-won (food: powerful, short duration constitution and strength) and kiwik clusjo (food: powerful, short duration quickness and stamina) or accaragm (drink: mid-power longer duration action, quick & stam)... if there is a food or drink that covers all 3 health stats, i haven't come across it yet

Thanks much for the responses so far, this will help greatly. I'm just getting tired of my buffs running out in the middle of nowhere, and not being able to find someone to rebuff. Hence, I am just looking for something I can carry with me that will work in a pinch. Thanks again, I will check with some Chefs for food lists.

Once again, you're talking about something you know nothing about.

There was no 'nerf' - They removed the randomization of the buffs, something that doctors have been asking them to do for a really long time. They changed this because the community asked for it.

Even the 'high-quality' buffers would blow a buff because of this. A buff pack with 850 effectivness could produce a buff under 1000, where they now produce a buff near 2300 every time.

Garrmorl is a food that buffs all three Health stats (Health, Strength, Constitution) - but chefs generally don't make it. The ingredients lack the stats to make a quality product (Thank you Devs).
