Thread: Med Bag idea in more detail
Since this Medical Bag issue seems to be a big topic here, I thought I would throw in a few more thoughts for discussion.
First, I know people have been complaining that they get the "no valid medicine" message when they have more stuff in their backpack and this is annoying. To me this isn't the real issue. It is a matter of storage space in our inventory. I sort of like the idea of having a backpack not being searchable for meds that way I can throw meds in there that I don't want to be used (I can chose which meds are in the search area and which are not. Thus hiding either my good meds or my bad meds based on what sort of service I am providing.
The issue is really the amount of space we have available and the shear number of different things we need to carry to ply our profession. When there are 6 different buff packs + 6 crates for the next buffs + stims, + all the different wound packs, well you all know what I am talking about. It all takes up a lot of space.
I love the idea of a medical bag of some type. I would suggest that it actually look "graphic wise" like a bag with a sling on it that we would throw over one shoulder and neck. It should also have a red cross on it to indicate it is a medical bag. It would work just like a second backpack except that it would be searchable for meds unlike the backpack.
I would also suggest that the size of the bag be based on the amount of skill. For example maybe it could be sized to be one item per skill box in medic, doctor, or combat medic professions.
This would give:
a master medic: 18 items
a master doctor: 36 items
a master combat medic: 36 items
a master doc/master CM: 54 items
(I hope that is right, 16 boxes plus one each for novice and master)

good point, Adding a new graphic to the game would likely be a big deal by itself.
Of course I can still dream and whine ![]()

this is a good idea but it should be more then 18 36 ect. a normal backpack holds 50 items, and if you've spent the time and money to get Master Doctor to should be able to put well over 50 things in your bad, 60-80 would be more like it, since, as prevously sated we have to carry a lot of stuff aroud to 'be all that we can be' otherwise we have to keep running back to banks or bazaars.
I think that is what is meant the medic bag would be plus your original.
