Thread: AREA POISON AND AREA DISEASE HEAL FOR MASTER DOC's ITS only fair
We don't do 'area effect' anything because that is the realm of the Combat Medic.
What we do have in the Doctor Profession is the ability to enhance other players. If anything should be given, it should be something along those lines. Perhaps an innoculation with a short timer(5-10 minutes) but it would still be single-target only.
If i'm not mistaken, I think with the chef revamp coming up there is going to be a food that increases you disease/poison resistance
YIPPY! I think it would be nice if docs got a defense against poison/disease because it's kind of annoying trying to heal your poison/disease before your mind has already ticked away.
As for the area poison/disease heals... It would be nice, but it would make the CM profession completely useless. Whenever i raid there's always atleast one master doc on the battlefield and adding an areapoison/disease heal would just make pvpa spamming ofthrowingblue glowy things.

Actually, it doesn't completely negate beinga CM and doen't make the class useless.The healcould have a more limited range than a CM poison, be weaker, etc.but still be a useful counter. Also, while a doc is healing poison, he's not healing other wounds or rezzing. So the CM can effectively remove a Doc or 2 from battle. (Each class has a counter combat design)
Currently, it's almost impossible to cure the poison and disease being thrown out by only a single CM. One CM poison can require ~4-6 cures (4x the time in battle, ~4x the resources). It's not even worth the effort to cure it since the CM can dish it out so much faster than any doc can pray of healing it.
Nevermind a mind disease that can remove me from battle "forever" by quickly giving me 1100 mind wounds and requiring me and whoever else to sit in the cantina.
I don't know how many times i've cured the poison on one guy to see it pop right back up on him, along with myself and 3 other people.

Well I have to say I have been writing a few threads on the CM boards recently after repeatedly being slapped by them on Chaemara, the thing that took the biscuit was the RP battle recently we had, it was CM vs CM er well whats the point they stand outof range well at 64m from nearest enemy, infecthim speed burst away,then it leapfrogs to the rest who cannot due to building and permiter problems get more than 38m away!! We were in a base btw,its a real joke tbh. The range needs adressing big time 35m maxand then they can keep their 38m area range at least the other professions are in range to have a chance of hitting them, it seems the CMs have a 'smart bomb' to rip through groups which is completly wrong and over done in my view, and the docs have absolutly no chance in curing their group we aint quick enough.
Id say reduce their range to 35m then its up to them, they get nailed they get nailed, but they infect you well done you did it enagage CM Win Button ![]()
