Thread: Docs buffing question for you.

Im currently a Master Smuggler with Pistoleer skills and I want to get 0/2/0/0 just to get the buff skill. If I buy good Enhance D's would my buffs be decent with just 0/2/0/0? I dont like dabblers but Im tired of searching for Docs buffing.

the buffs you would be able to use at that skill level wont be the ones you want.

Your med use skill would be way to low to use D's. Med use skill is in the third tree. I beleive you would need 0/2/4/0 to use enhance D's.

Yes at that level your med use would be 55. Some Docs can make packs at 90 or a little lower allowing you to use D packs at 0-2-4-0

So your saying that dont go doc halfway if yoru gonna do it go to Master?

At that level you would only be able to use Enhance B's, which only enhance for around 50 to 200 max. You need higher medical usage which is the first tree. Anyways, my enhance D's are so good, you HAVE to be master doctor to use. You can't do smuggler doctor scenerio, not enough points to get all the goodies, I would reccomend dropping underworld and picking up a tree of doctor.

a buff at that level would boost a stat maby 200 tops...not worth the skill points imo


I had a friend make me a crappy buff pack wen i was leveling at a realy low level and it only buffed 90-120 action. He dident use the best resorces and frankly i dont blame him.

I think you can use enhanceD's at 0/2/3/0 but they would need to be highly experimented inmed use, which means the "power" on them would be really low. About 1/2 what the average master Doc uses. This would likely give you a sub-1k buff. Generally, Enhance D's are useable with medical knowledge 4 or master. Master being able to use the best ones since all the experiementation can go into the "power."


Unless you go far enough to use good enhance D's it's not worth going doc to buff. there are other good skills that you may find useful (rezzing asa 0/4/0/0, or poison cures as a 2/0/0/0), but not buff as a 0/2/0/0 doc.

Not necessarily. I think Doctor is one of the most heavily sampled professions in the game. However, to really sample it well, you need to go a little further than what you initially thought. The most common sampling template is 0/4/4/0. That gives you the ability to rez and apply effective buffs while giving up the ability to cure poison/disease and do any crafting. 0/2/4/0 or 0/4/3/0 are also popular combinations which offer tradeoffs between buff power and the ability to rez.
