I craft my own. I just recently made it to master doc and have started making/using buffs. However, I am finding that my buff durations are low (2 hrs 17mins). The duration seems to cap early, while the pack's power continues to increase through experimentation. What can be done about this? What controls the time on the buff? I used the best resources available (from recent shifts) to make these packs. Not much I can do presently. I want to identify the issue now so I know what I need to do to improve my packs in the future.
Thanks in advance.

That "cap" is probably due to our limited resources. With 1000OQ resources, we could probably break that duration cap. I am not sure the Devs can do anything about this without completely changing the entire crafting system. This has happened with several others profs.

The Decay Resistance (DR) on the meat your using (for buff D's) determines the time of the buffs. However don't trust the buff timers that they added in the last patch. They are NOT correct. Use a stopwatch to time your buffs.

Aha! I did not know about the DR effecting time. Appreciate that very much. I had seen buffs with MUCH longer durations and was worried that I was messing something up. I will look into my stocks and see what I can dig out in the way of beter dr meat. Appreaciate the advice!

How are they not correct? I mean i didn't calculate out what my buffs should be. But with the timer its been a few seconds off. But other than that they are awesome.

The timers actually 'lag' or run slow for lack of a better term. When I first buff my timers say 2hrs and 39mins, which is correct for my buff duration. However 2hrs and 39mins later (I timed it with a watch timer) the buff timers in the game still said 57mins or so left on the buffs. I am able to rebuff without problem, but don't trust the timers.

As already stated DR in Avian helps the duration. The DR in the gas does as well. IMO if you have to give a little OQ on your gas to get more DR do so. Now that buffies can see the duration they will be more interested in long lasting buffs. At least those are a fix amount once and the buff pack is made and dont randomly change like the power. Check the schem. for the exact math but if you have a OQ + DR over 1600 you will hit a duration of about 10k sec. (just a rule of thumb).

Thank you Marrow, for your specific information concerning stats. This thread has now cleared up the biggest lingering question I had about stat buffing. I appreciate it very much, thank you all again.
