was looking through the skill tree and aparently squad leaders can cure these two states. i was just wondering how all the other docs felt about this. i know that when i read it i was not happy about it b/c they dont need any kind of meds to do it and it comes out of their action bar as well. i have never been a suad leader so i am not 100% on the mechanics of it but from looking in the skill tree this is what i gathered from it. i am not logged on right now but i believe it is from the command "form up" which is in the 0-0-1-0 spot.

Good luck to them I say. Being stuck in a group (Generally full of idiots) is my idea of hell, so they have to give them somthing to try and tempt people to play that profession, I know I certainly wouldn't want to.

Yes, squad leaders have this skill "Form Up". It is very handy, and it's one of the only skills that actually works for squad leaders (except when the squad leader himself is dizzy, if I remember right). It has been a while since I was a SL, but I know that the skill used a ton of mind... not sure if that is still the case.

Believe me, doctors have enough advantages that this should in no way "detract" from their satisfaction of the game. SL's can take away dizzy for the entire group, but that's the type of skills they have... they benefit groups by their leadership abilities (not meds, as you have pointed out). You should not be mad that this benefit spans more than one profession. There are other skills like that in this game. Should entertainers be mad that chefs can make mind enhancing food?

What's the big deal. They can cure dizzy and stun. . . it's not the end of the world.

They can't buff, cure wounds, heal damage, rez, craft, cure poison, cure disease, etc.

This does not make for a national crisis

This is like the scouts complaining that combat medics get terrain nav mods.

yes, a SL can cure dizzy and stun. it's the only moderately useful active skill the SL has IMO. Neither one of them is seriously debilitating in PvE combat though. In PvP, dizzy can be a killer.

There are some serious limits to "Form Up" though:

1. Can't use it on yourself when dizzied/stunned. It can only be used on others.

2. Can't use it while prone, kneeling, or a bunch of other times

3. Doesn't work on pets

As a Doctor, I absolutely HATE grouping with squadleaders. The main reason why is that when they use a special that inflicts (although helpfull for most people) state effects, I can't drag, rez, buff, or heal wounds. And what makes it worse is that these state effects that are designed to help a group ends up killing the group even faster, because I as a Doc can't HEAL myself of this "helpfull" state effect. It's very very frustrating, and I really hope that they fixed this problem.
