Thread: 3 Crits, 2 Amazing, 1 Good, on first craft
True story:
Ran out of enhances and say down for a minute to make another set (they are all perfectly matched for charges so I run out all at the same time), pulled my droid (with crafting station, of course) and got to work. I had a crate of each component on me so I wasn't worried at all about running out. By the time I was done I had 6 perfect buff packs (completely experimented the power line for all the same power and duration, that is, withonly great successes), 3 critical failures (lost everything on combine) and 7 duds! Using 3 experimentation points at a time I would always get a crit failure (once,3 in a row) almost immediately that would decimate the pack and leave the power at 500ish (instead of the high 800's that's normalfor me). In the end I had pretty much used up all my crated resources just making a SINGLE set of buffs and spent more than 15 minutes cursing at my computer as pack after pack came out worthless. Heck, if the last two packs hadn't come out flawless in a row I probably would have ended up making a trip back to my house to pick up more components!
The moral: make a ton of a single run of components and use schematics and factories to make buff packs. I'll never again make a set of buff packs by hand, ever.
P.S. - Two of those duds came about when all 3 sets of 3 points were good successes and the last point, which would have capped off the power line, ended up in a critical failure dropping the power more than 200 points! After the second one those, I understood the word "postal". ![]()
