Thread: In-Need of tips for crafting buffs

I've been a master doctor for a couple weeks, i've been making my own buffs, but the best i can get them up to is 866 bases....i'm trying to find as much asi can of the highest oq resources for components and such but even then i still have a hard time breaking the 900 barrier, i think i read a post about janta buffs? and 1150? whats that all about?

Janta blood is a loot drop from Jantas on Dantooine


They will add roughly 100 power to your buff.

Do they craft into it or is it like a powerup?

Yeah the Janta blood replaces the bio controllers, for example my BEC's are 22 charges 15 power and then I experiment all my points into effectiveness, the janta blood comes anywhere from 10-15 charges with 100-197 power, so they make some pretty uber enhance pacs, my best pacs are 24/1245 with 197 blood.


If you want tips for making buffs with a big base, just be calm and collect all the best resources, look at the description of what is important in every ingredient in the lower right part of the crafting screen, generally OQ and PE are important on most stuff with DR being important for duration only. Your Gas for enhance pacs must have hi OQ for good base, and DR on that matters for the duration of the buff. You might wonder why Action buff pacs can hit so high, well the don't need the avian and gas so if you use something like steel or ore that has a high UT it will give you more charges with DR being important for duration, and then your OQ is the only other important stat.


I was hitting pacs yesterday that were 30/950's 13k duration with no Janta!! My actions were 34/950+ 14k duration.


Man I wish they left the crafting changes in!!!

The one factor in crafting buffs that most docs overlook is the Decay resistance of your avian meat and reactive gas. If you look at the schematic, there are two categories under Experimental Effectiveness, which is the one that's experimented for power. One subcategory is Duration, the other is Power. This lead people to think that DR has no bearing on the "power" of the kits, but it does. It is the experimental effectivness category that provides the power, not the Power category.

So use high DR meat and Reactive gas along with OQ and PE, and you'll get better results.
