Thread: Disgusted with the current prices on Eclipse Avian

dude, the meat is being dropped by nunas and kaadu! buff yourself, get one of them new fangled combat droids and go get some yourself if you dont want to pay.
yep, i've been hunting on naboo for a couple days now....why pay outrages prices when you can go kill stuff and get it for free?
There was some Tatooine Avian on Kettemoor that sold for 500cpu.
If you don't like the price go out and harvest your own. If you know it's worth 200cpu and it's not worth your own time to go harvest it why would you expect it to be worthsomebody else'stime to harvest it?
"Our greed on the Eclipse server and the fact that a lot of people are SERIOUSLY charging outrageous prices will eventually drive up prices on everything. We are driving the inflation each time we go crazy and decide somethign is SO important to have RIGHT now that we will pay ANYTHING to have it."
How about discussing the prices for Bivoli, anything above +20? Average price for +20 or higher in a crate of 25, with 2 uses per is 250,000 credits! That's 50 uses for 250k, or to put it in perspective, it's going for 2,500 per unit! So chunk on an additional 5,000 credits per two sets of buffs (figuring you can buff two people for the duration of one bivoli) docs are going to start chraging for their buffs. And with the new buff change/nerf (however you view it) Bivoli has become almost critical to have. I'm sorry, but the price of food/drinks is more insane than the price of avian meat... ![]()

Well bivoli requires meat to make... the good ones require chef enhancements that also require meat. There you go.
And that's not helping us... Chefs and BEs pay a lot for good meat, which often drops in much bigger quantities than Avian, so you have to pay a lot for avian just to have hunters decide to help you instead of them.

Sorry, what did they do to try and fix it?

When you take people with no sense of economics and hand them a game saying "you create an economy" inflation is bound to happen. A guy with a ton of money says "I'll pay 200cpu" because they want it and they want to be the only ones to get it.
The devs tried to address this in the last patch. Their efforts were noble buttheir methods weren't the best.
I was and still am against the changes that were reverted but I do agree with the devs that something needs to be done about the amount of inflation that is on every server.

I myself harvest all my own resources. Meats, plants, minerals, and gasses. All of em. I refuse to pay outlandish prices for such things. For one thing, I could never ever afford to pay 1 million credits for a small resource stack. After playing EQ for over 4 years and seeing the economy go to crap due to exploits and dupes, its sad to see the same thing happening on this game now too.
The Devs reacted too slowly to cash and resource dupes. Now servers are flooded with credits, and as long as the large money flow is out there, people will be willing to pay insane prices because they can afford it, thus keeping prices higher. Why would someone sell for less to regular player A when joe exploiter duper is willing to pay 100 times more? Sad but true.
Get novice scout and harvest your own meat. Its actually fun once theres a shift on a decent planet like Dathomir. Then you can make decent cash, have a half way interesting battle, and gather your own supplies. Killing kaadu all day long can be dull, but its a heck of alot better than a Tatooinian Avian Meat shift...ugh...nunas suck. heh heh
