Thread: I'm Stumped.

I have to admit, I'm starting to really look forward to Publish 7's doctor changes. Tonight, I spent 2 hours buffing in Coronet and made quite a handsome amount. Was fun all in all but what annoyed me, frustrated me and completely baffled me is how diverse my stats were, on a frequent basis.

I'd buff one stat for 3000 and then the next for 1100. Thankfully my lowest was around 1090 and my highest around 3200 but I really wish I could understand how people are getting consistent 2500+'s lately.

I've got a 110 droid, my packs are all 870-900's, my Wound Treatment is like +170 right now (Master Doctor and 3 stacked +25 BE Enhanced items) and I even tried Bivoli... Nothing seemed to balance them out.

Am I missing something or is this just the way it is?

My ONLY reason for questioning this is because I've been getting buffs from Master Docs for a while and hardly any of them ever get below 2200 on me. If I could do 2000+ consistently, I would be content with it, hell, even 1800+ would be nice which leads me to yearn for Pub 7 even more.

Sigh.

Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions, I'm game for anything at this point. The next thing I'm going to work on is getting my packs to 920+ across the board. Hopefully that will make the difference. I was told that as long as they were all 850+ it wouldn't matter but it seems it is...

It's luck there is a simple forumula to calculate what the stats of your bufs I'll state later. if someone tell you someone else can do 2500+ consistanty he's not telling the truth because it's imposible to roll high rolls all the time the low rolls will always sneak in one or other set.

+25 is the max bonus from BE cloth the only thing that stacks with them is food . i can get about 135 skill with my current bivoli(+10.5).my basic multiplier on power with 135 skill would be 2.35*1.1 = 2.585

after the patch you will be able to get consistant 2000-2200 with constant rolls because the random factor will be removed

enhance roll =(random(0,1)+0.5) * Power *(skill/100+1)*((droid/facility efectivness)/100)*(1 anywhere or 1.1 in city with one of the 2 medical speciality )

already posted this on tempest forum . this is the sample of avg rolls that after patch would be the actual rolls. (min is 0.5*avg max is 1.5*avg)

power = roll with 100 skill/ roll with 125 skill ( master wound treatment/master doctor with 110 droid and cloth +25)

700 = 1540 / 1732
750 = 1650 / 1856
800 = 1760 / 1980
850 = 1870 / 2103
900 = 1980 / 2227

920+ power is close to max limit i make 880-890 power and do just fine . a 920 pack has a minimum of 1138~ which basicly mean you can't escape low rolls with more powerful packs. what you should pay more attention to is matching duration on action.

in order to make 920+ packs you need to experiment adv bec for power and then you needexceptional avian and gas other than very good acrdm and asds . I personally experiment abec for charges which saves time and money in the long run by making my enhance packs 31 charges instead of 23-25 you see on the market.

Thanks for the answers. The only thing I question is this part.

"+25 is the max bonus from BE cloth the only thing that stacks with them is food . i can get about 135 skill with my current bivoli(+10.5). my basic multiplier on power with 135 skill would be 2.35*1.1 = 2.585"

The reason I question it is because my stats say +167 wound treatment. I double checked it last night, that was withou Bivoli.

Just wondering if they removed the cap, if it's bugged? Am I just lucky?

You will see more than +125 in your skill window, but it still only functions as +125.

It's not the static buffs in the next publish that worry me. It's the crafting "improvements" that are causing all the TC docs to produce lower quality meds. Every single TC doc I've seen says that their pre-patch enhance paks are fare more powerful than their post patch paks.

Docs who were able to get 850 paks can now barely get 800. . . .

It's been mentioned on several forums (particularly the Tailor, BE and this one, for certain) and TH even had a post on it not too long ago in Dev Tracker. I'm pretty sure it's also in the FAQ. It's on the Doctor Issues List (under Bugs, #23 Skill Enhancement Concerns) if you want to see one of the places we have it stickied up here. (It's a pretty long list to dig through, I know, but there really is some good stuff in there.)
