search is your friend...
TKA, Rifleman, Carbineer, Swordsman, just to name a few all work well.
Buffs are your friend!

Swordsman and carbineer are good combos. Personally I use TKA 4/0/0/0, doctor 2/4/0/0, and Rifleman.. so I'm no full fledged doctor.

For me it was going to be pistols until I realized just how much combat medic helped out. Now I am master doc, 4/4/0/4 combat medic, 0/0/3/0. I love the ranged stims and area stims the best.

Two good combos are Master Doc and Master Combat Medic. As well as Master Doc Master
TKA.

Master Doc
Master Swordsman
Why? -
- You become the ultimate tank (with armor)
- Always buffed
- Can migrate all stats into mind
- Can heal all types of States, damage etc (useful for pve)
- Deal out MASSIVE mind damage in PvE and PvP (I can do 4k mind damage every 2 seconds)
Im on this combo, and there is nothing apart from maybe a kryat, nighsister elder, etc i can't take out. Very, very powerful.

Could you guys please explain a little more why you recommend what you did?
I liked Wisqa's reply where he actually listed why Swordsman would be a good profession combo.
I am currently working towards Master Doc and then I'll go out and lvl whatever combat profession I choose. Obviously the benefit being I can self buff and heal so I can take on harder things and get more xp.
I was thinking about Pikeman but I hear the xp is slow and they miss alot but thats supposedly supposed to change with this next publish. Also I hear they can do good damage to like 5-6 creatures if they are surrounded.
I was thinking Carbineer because I like the idea of being able to do ranged attacks and not having to get right close up to whatever I'm trying to attack. Carbineer has high HAM costs but with buffs, this really wouldn't be too big of an issue I wouldn't think. Pistols require you to be close, don't do as much damage and I think are less accurate. Rifles are ok but I hear that the mind pool can be a issue since both are used by Doc and Rifleman.
I was thinking Teras Kasi because alot of people recommend it and say it's a tough combo. I am currently working a little unarmed here and there as I was originally going to go this route. Why is this so recommended? This combo can only do kinetic damage. Is that good enough?
Now I Deadsea saying that Combat Medic is tough and he can take out a rancor in 20 seconds. How do you get xp in combat medic? By dealing damage and area healing?
You also have Swordsman now recommended and that Wisqa can do 4k of mind damage every 2 seconds.
I am looking to mostly (90-99%) do PvE, rarely doing PvP, if ever. I would only do PvP if I decide to go Covert Imp and help out someone but this would probably be very rare. I would plan on soloing most of the time, say 75% and 25% grouping with just another person who is working towards CH/Carbineer. I would really like to keep Novice Scout to be able to harvest and setup a tent if I needed to, maybe I don't need this?
Thanks for your advice and explanations!
