Hi Nolan,

Your 850buff packwould land for 2103.75 rounded up (or down, not sure which SOE uses).

The formula is Base * (1 + woundtreatment skill/100) * (droid or building rating/100)

So, you have 850 * (1+1.25) * (1.1) = 850 * 2.25 * 1.1 = 2103.75

Question i have, and this is most likely being overlooked by the devs... What is the standard for Master experimentation points? It SHOULD be 9 Pts, as all races other than human have only 9 Experiment points at max.

And waht of multi bar items, such as buff packs? It the max bennifit for each bar be 3 points, as there are 9 points at max for master doctor? Will all 9 points need to be used in one bar to make the pack have the same power they are now, at the cost of charges, and med use?

What about the bonus experiment points we can get from attachments and Research center cities? Will each of the possible 14 Experiment points be split into one experiment bar?

Does anybody actualy craft on testcenter?

It's all based on the 10 point standard (not 9 as we all get 10 points at master for a profession, except, as you noted, Humans on the Artisan tree only.)

If you have abilities that give you more that 10 the equation is not modified. Those are extra EPs since the equation is still based only on the 10 point standard.

Any given bar will be calculated based on taht 10 poin standard. So if you are, say, Master Doc with just 10 EPs (no skill tapes or other modifiers) and you have 2 bars, one at 100% and one at 50%, then the first bar will improve 7% for each Great Success experimented on it (allowing for a 100% final resultif you get a Great Success on the initial combine that would give it a 30% base to work from with those 7X10EP or 70% from experimentation... which is exactly how it works right now IF you had 1000 rated resources) whereas if you used any of your EPs on the 50% bar it would only improve, say, 3.5% for every EP used there. So you have to decide where you use your EPs based on what will give you the most bang for your buck.

BTW, I know there are several TC threads discussing this particular change, so you might want to try to look through them on the Test Center forum to get more of the details.

Fire Blanket information!!

What can you experiment on, and if so, how does each experimentation line affect the end product?

The food stacks over the clothes. So, it'strue the max benefit you get from clothes is +25, but bivoli will go above that. +21 bivoli will get you to aworking 146 wound treatment. Without Bivoli and +28 (25) in BE clothing, I hit just over 3200 with my packs as a maximum. With the food I max just over 3500, so the difference is significant. With the randomness out, the difference will be less, but perhaps still of value. The problem I see with randomness being out, is that the food will have to be used consistantly for certain regular customers.. All the time or not at all, or people will find a new thing togripe about. I for one don't want to drop a bivoli when it's slow and there's only one or two people wanting buffs and no sign of anyone showing up for awhile after that. I do a bivoli when I see I've got 5 in line, I know more will arrive before I finish them..

>I thought the max bonus is +25, so bivoli gives a noticeable difference even though I have +25 BE clothes?

Woah, umm what am I missing here? Are BE clothing stacks being nixed in publish 7 or what? I have a shirt, pants, RoH, and sungaurd, all with +25 to injury/wound treatment, for a total of +100 to my med skill. Not counting Bivoli, With Bivoli and my droid, I buff for usually over 3k and I came darn close to 4k a few times.

Can anyone explain that too me?

BE cloths never stacked more than +25. +25 was always the hard cap and will always be.
The only thing which stacks to BE cloths is chef food (bivoli) So you can gain a +50.

Not sure how many of you have noticed, but the crafting/experimentation changes are GONE. It was posted by the Devs a little bit ago. We will have one day on live to play with it, then the changes will be rolled back with a hotfix on Wed.

Also note, this is not to mean that the devs are not still looking to do balance work on items or the economy.

This was not a good way to go about introducing change to a game like this.. It was too big, and all at once. In beta it would ahve stayed, but it is way too big a change for live. Crafting balance will have to come from a different direction. It wasn't really that bad, and the devs warned it could come back with some work, but I doubt it will.
