Thread: Enhancement overwrites

So you technically do not overwrite a buff for a higher one numerically?

According to my tests, a Health Enhancement D, if buffed for the first time at 2300, when you attempt to overwrite it, will buff the second time for 2300, and not over that.

The overwriting is so that if you have a (non-existent) Health Enhancement B for, lets say, 700 health, you can have it overwritten by a Health Enhancement D, or have a continuation of a current buff.

Is this correct?

yes.

You can overwrite a 1500 buff with a 2200 buff

You can overwrite a 2200 buff with a druation of 500 with one of 2200 power or better that has an equal or higher duration.

Whenever I overwrite someone that I previously buffed,it just renews the buff that they had before, not raising it.

That's because all buffs from the same pack have the same power now, right?

They didn't introduce stacking, they introduced overwriting. So you are replacing your old buff with a new buff.

One other little benefit: Say all your packs AREN'T the same duration, when they go to get rebuffed they don't have to worry about a hanging stat and get DB'd/Rezed. The next Doc can just do a normal full set.

The rules.

1.) Higher pack overwrites lower pack (final power determines overwrite, not pack power. A master doc w/ bivoli, BE clothes and a lower pack, may overwrite a buff of a Master doc with just higher packs because the bonuses create a higher end buff [XP is only gained on the difference, not the full 2nd pack buff].

2.) Buff of the same power will overwrite for only an increase of duration (only the total duration of the 2nd pack, and it is not added to the remaining duration of the previous pack) [ No Xp for the same exact level of buff, you want XP, let the first one wear off.].

3.) Who put on the first buff is not relevant. All doctors can overwrite all other doctor's buffs, as long as the buff is higher.

4.) lower buff packs should not be useable on higher buffed people. (you have 1000 health buff, I can't put a 850 health buffon you). You should get "this person already has a buff" and no charge of the pack will be used.

5.) Although stuck buffs should be gone with this publish, you can overwrite a stuck buff with a higher buff, since the game still thinks you have one.

6.) Do not talk about Fight Club.
