Have you guys been following the TC crafting threads in the "in testing" section?
Under the new "improved" crafting system TC docs are finding it impossible to make good buff paks anymore. . . .
They are struggling to make an 800 power enhance pak. . . struggling.
*shrug* I'm not struggling. I can make 888's regularly. Strugling for 900, yes. 800? nope.

What are there Charges compared to befor?
With good materials, you can get max is any 1 line.. it is the extra "spillover" points that are gone.

With those you can solo pretty much everything except perhaps krayts, DJM's and such nasties. 2k buff to all stats will be more than enough and top of that you can also use pretty good foods to get about 3k stats if you like. This is the change I like very very much.Experimentation is the I'm a bit worried of...
I'm gonna second this. To me, having just attained Master Doc about three weeks ago, the system seems out of wack a bit considering all the variables that go into crafting buffs.
The three Advanced Components each have three variables which we can influence by the quality of resources that we put into them, crafting with a 110 droid, and crafting in a level one facility, while being 'registered' at said facility, crafting under the influence of whatever food stuffs may enhance the crafting, not withstanding whatever "random element" is built in for crafting just those components alone.
Then compiling them with other ingreds for a second round (leading to the final buff)of the same above mentioned factors influencing the final product.
Then having the experience of actually applying the buff with sith several of the same factors having an influence over said application along with Faction standing, and droid battery level etc.
My goodness. I'm not guilded (and don't want to be yet). Thus no access to unlimited resources to play with. The price per cpu of even garbage resources has tripled (even quadrupled since raising the limit to 6k at bazaar) I'm not Factioned so no +25 (or whatever) there, BE clothing is expensive for someone just starting out so no +25 there (at least for awhile) so my clients are at a serious disadvantage for ever seeing a +3k buff.
This is far too many variables of influence though I do love the profession. The only way to "fix" it IMHO is to level out the buffs.
How many times have you had someone wanting you to kill them so you can rebuff them because they didn't like what they already had? Buffs swinging widly from +800 stam for 2hrs to +2200 Constitution for 3hrs ticks people off.
Hmm. Maybe i'm just not that good a Doc? LOL!

very simple solution: only allow docs to buff people in their group.... its sooooo simple... just like training or Image designing....
Why dont they do that?
They can't do that because a primary character you must have, to be hired as a SWG Developer or Programmer, is asevere lack of common sense. Another important job qualification, to beon the Dev Team, is a propencity for Group Think. Add the two together and you get CL10 "combat" droids, and 15 unique resource items for droid stims. In medical circles, they call this malpratice;in SWG, they call it game improvement.
The amusing thing isn't just the un-necessary complaxity in droid stims/wound paks, or the amazingly powerful and universallybeloved CL10 combat droids. The truly incredable thing isthe Devsactually believethey aremaking the majority of DEs andtheir potential customershappy, with theso called *Droid Invasion*.Go figure.
