Actually we are affected less by the crafting problem.. most of our meds are 2 materials.

With missing materials stats not being counted (this has been confirmed by the devs), we can maximize out crafting pretty easily with good materials.. most other crafters (for example chefs) will ahve 3-4 materials lowering their crafting vlaues in any category... We can make sure we ahve good OQ and Good PE on 1 material, and good OQ and good UT on another, and skip a lot of the new problems, since the PE and UT missing stats are skipped.

We come out of this new crafting change with quite a better position then every other crafting profession.

Yeah, this is very cool. I am happy with the direction things are going. Those of us with nice packs and good resources will actually shine now

No, no nerfs here, move along, nothing to see....

Actually it seems as though it is a nerf, though just for a very specialized section of the market. Only for those people who are willing to buff/db/re-buff until they get the set of buffs they want is it a nerf. For them, its a nerf because the first buff will be as good as the tenth buff, no more sweet rolls of the dice for them.

For the other 99% of the crowd its a blessing, mostly because you can ask someone what they'll buff you for and get it.No more wondering if the guys using crappy packs for you and just blaming the randomness.

I'll bet it improves the overall product though, after publish 100% of docs who sell buffs will have BE clothes and droids and food, just to compete.

People keep saying this, but in my time as a 0240 Doctor, I never once was able to compete with Master Doctor buffs. Mountain out of a non-existant molehill, imo.

Most of the time you are right. but you would be suprised. My guild has a few 0240 people in it, and I usually give them buff packsto meet their needs. Andsome times I get out buffed ina fewstats, even though my packs are better then the ones I made for the person. In the end your right though, I beat them in overall average, but an average doesn't mean anything if your buffs are random. This patch is really a godsend in my eyes, it will make people work harder and actually take pride in their crafting. After the patch I will actually be proud to wear my MD tag again, dispite all the tells.

For those that spend time buffing themselves then corpsing and reviving if they dont get real good buff this is technically a nerf. With that said though, I actually think this is an excellent change for the balance of the game. The extreme buffs that are currently possible have a very negative impact on the whole balance of the combat system, very good secondary buffs complete eliminate the health and action costs of the specials, which in turn means people can concentrate their food selection on buffing the mind stats to negate the mind cost of specials.

After this change goes in we will hopefully see chefs stocking more than just Blue Milk, Thakitillo, Vasarian Brandy and Ahrisa, as there should be a market for Health and Action based foods/drinks as well. This will have a knock on effect of making specials actually cost some HAM to use which will in turn should hopefully make people think a little more about which specials they use, rather than just spamming them indefinately. My only concern is that the secondary stat buffs may still be high enough to reduce the health and action special costs to zero or close enough not to matter, this concern could (and I expect will) be countered when they introduce the new HAM cost system.

There does seem to be a general trend in Publish 7 which seems to be to reduce the potency of players in general, therefore making PvE a little tougher. A step in the right direction as far as I am concerned.

I really will like the fact that I will no longer hit low buffs.. the only thing that troubles me is what can I expect to be making after the patch with the new expiermentation. I mean right now running with current resources on my server (im fairly new so dont have old HQ stockpiled resources) my pest buff pack is 830 power after dumping everything into effective. How will this new system change that? will I now be making 700 power packs? That is the only thing I do not agree with in this new publish is the changes/nerf to crafting.. if anything doctors are getting hit 2 times by the fix/nerf bat b/c of these changes.

I'm really looking forward to this change, and I think its gonna kick a lot of MD's in the ass because they are charging 10k for crappy buffs. With static buffs now those same doctors that are ripping people off are going to be forced to either but out or get out. Its about time the Devs did something about the buffs, and I totally support it and think its a great feature.

sooo happy

Well... you don't have any EPs left over for putting into other stats normally? If not then the change may not be too big for you at that level. The high-end stuff should be less affected, but it will probably still be reduced some. (Thevery-high end stuff shouldn't be affected at all, though.)That's definitely the nerf part of it, but I guess we can at least say that it will hit EVERY crafting profession equally. The only good part about it is at least you'll have more chances to work on getting the Amazing successes to help out since you should be seeing at least a few less crit fails mucking up the works.

so every time you are selling buffs in coronet or theed you want to be constantly grouping with people and kicking themout when they are done when you have 10 or more people waiting to be buffed?

Sure, Im already rechargingmy droid betweeneach customer, answering tells and explaining how the buffing works. Then getting new packs out of my crates etc etc. I think grouping wont be that much of an extraburden really..

Recharging the droid has no benefit BTW.. It is either powered or it is not.

For Lexy,

Using +25 bivoli makes you generally able to buff all stats over 1100-1200. With current price on those my customers will have to suffer that. I only use bivoli to buff myself and friends. And I'd still take 2500 to all stats than 3.5k 3k 1.1k 3k 1.2k 2k.
