Thread: Am I the only one feeling nerfed?
I'll probably raise my price a bit from 10k since people will actually be able to tell the quality/effort put forth now, and be willing to pay for it without the risk of random rolls.
ok well from my experiance yesterday.
player - you are doing buffs ?
me - yes 10k full sett, with the new patch i will hit for over 2.1k every stat, no more 3k buffs tho as they have removed the random factor ![]()
player - hmm no its ok another doc here is only charging 6k i'll take his.
me - ok have fun! ![]()
i then buffed 3 people who were more than happey and get another tell that went like this....
player - damn i wish i had come to you for buffs now!!
me - why ?
player - well that guy was only hitting for 1.6 to 1.8 each stat ![]()
me - ehehehe well i can over write them with mine if you wish ?
player - what ? huh ?
me - with the new patch u can use higher powered buff packs to over write low buffs.
player - really? nice! can i have a set of your's then please ? ![]()
me - sure mate ![]()
and this happned tome 4 times in an hour, so if you on my server i hope 'you' continue to make your 700 - 750 base buff packs and i will continue to make round the 900 mark (i have the resouces, and i harvested them all my self before im accused of buying at an inflated rate etc) and we shall see who is still in business after week or so.
I thoroughly enjoy these changes, and it's something I've been hoping they would do for some time now.
Now the clients will be able to tell those that really put effort into making sure they have the best buffs (whether it be buying the best or making the best), and I will no longer feel I have to apologize when I hit a low health/action/con, etc. No more stupid disclaimers, just straightforward buffing goodness.

The devs could have told us how this shows up as a status message. My heart missed a beat when I saw "you enhance %TTStamina for 431 points"..
Turns out he already had a stamina buff, and when overwriting it, you get to see only thedifferencebetween your buff and the one they had.
They had me scared there for a second
Also I am now forced to use a macro. I normally clicked each pack by hand, but when you now accidently click a pack for a second time, you will redo the buff... one advantage though, is that the timer gets reset too, so no more waiting till the buffs wear off before you can rebuff.
Well, let me reply in kind, Yehosha...as far as idiots go, learn to read please...your gross misinterpretation of everything I've been sayingsays quitea lotabout your obviously adolescent mindset. I never said I was too cheap to invest in either treatment clothes or bivoli. I've been a master doc long enough, on several different servers no less...and I ***always*** have the best resources, even if that requires I buy sometimes, in orderto get something better (how many people do you know with millions of units of fine-grade dolovite?). I realized the value of treatment clothes long before most people even knew they existed, and have at least 2 or 3 good sets of them on any given character, doc or not.
That being said, the money isnt even necessarily an object of concern, and never was...I've been around long enough to amass a very sizablebank account. If I see a newbie really needs buffs and is having a hard time affording them, he'll get a set whether he can pay me or not...of course its only going to be one set and he'll be paying for the next... but I'm willing to help a player out. I don't care whether the "mercenary docs" on this board like it or not, either.
on one "patient" i got 3 3k buffs(pre patch)
and today id be lucky if i got 2 2.2k buffs
Overall the system isn't that bad though. I will miss my 3800 Quickness buff (my best non-action buff ever
Poisoned
Well written responce.
I love the static buffs, however,I would like to see more of a difference in a 800 pack and a 900 pack as well. Since the randomness was a multiplier the top end buffs would widen the gap between a 800 and 900 pack compaired to the mean buff value because the multiplier was larger. This is where you could really tell a 900 pack from a 800 pack. The difference on the low end hits was even lower because the multiplier was smaller. So the real investment on making a great pack came when you hit those high roles.
I think to reward the well crafted pack the best thing to do would be to add in a larger scaling factor onto the pack power. By doing this we could keep the static buffs (which my customers have been very happy with) and still reward the hard working doc that makes a great pack.
