I have all ready explain that i over react to this thing. The thing that i was complaining about was the way some people say that anyone who not speak english is just ignore from the beggining.
For the record: I lived in the US for a year. I'm not sure if your comment about flaming US culture was because of my post. I have to say, (this is not my mother language, so maybe i wrote it wrong) that i was refering to thecultureaverage, not to your own culture. I'm sorry to say thathalf of the people i meet in the US didn't knew where Spain was located in the map. So, maybe it is a stereotype, but thatis what i know. Again, i was not talking about US culture, but about people who just dont know a **edit** about anything not related to them... (how will you call it? general culture? studies? whatever...)
Just as a reference for you to understand why this people over react (as i did) to this post. A few days ago, we tryed to make a petition to obtain support in our language (the petition was looking to get also German, Italian and French customer service). We speak a lot in our forums about this and some of us put a lot of effort to this thing translating a lot of stuff. In that petition, people start joking about "taco bell" and stuff like that. That "warm" a little our forums (as i'm sure you understand).
Today, someone place a post in our forums, obviously miss understandind the meaning of the this post, and some of us just go too fast and post here the answer that you read. After i wrote my msg, i read the thread a second time (i know, the right method is do this BEFORE posting... hey, didn't you know about the spanish character? lol) and i found out that the original meaning was trying to get rid of tell-hell using a language that other english speakers will not understand (in a very poor spanish, wich i think was the reason for us tu just dont read the wholethread carefuly)
Then, i wrote my second postsaying i was sorry. My message was waytoo general.
Then, i wrote a message in my comunity forums explaining the true meaning of the message.
Then, i wrote a message in spanish here, trying to explain my m8's that we over react to this.
I ask u anyway, didn't you found that some messages were some kind of... lets say... annoying if you were a spanish?
Also i have to say:too many times i've been told to NOT SPEAK in spanish while playing... (as many of my friends) and that's another reason that drives (at least it drives me) to lose control once in a while.
I hope this helps to freeze this thing a little.
Greets
Thank you for clearing this up, I was really pissed off at some of the replies. But I tend to call things as I see them.
This game was created for the WORLD...as has been sense the start. And ANY person telling anyone to speak a certian was it totally stupid; no matter who they are, or what they speak. And I will give you that. I don't know german, russian, or anything other then English and Spanish. But as a Doctor, we get tells from EVERYONE in EVERY Language you can imagine.
If I don't understand you how can I reply? I can't, I either have to ignore you (which is rude), or ask around if anyone knows what this tell means. I try to learn as much languages in this game that I can learn from other people, even if its basic "yes or No" or "I don't understand" I've learned some Dutch, German,Sweedish, andFrench playing this game just so that I can atleast SOMEwhat talk to people.
As for you question "I ask u anyway, didn't you found that some messages were some kind of... lets say... annoying if you were a spanish? Also i have to say:too many times i've been told to NOT SPEAK in spanish while playing... (as many of my friends) and that's another reason that drives (at least it drives me) to lose control once in a while."
A lot of people are ignorant to the fact that English ISN'T the ONLY language out there. My only suggestion is the try to teach them something new. A lot of people (including myself) simply expect everyone to know atleast SOME english. But I've noticed over the months that even if they do, a lot of the times those people that are trying to speak english, just can't do it well enough to make sense. So I try to teach them atleast something that will help them in the future to help the situation out.
It's really that simple, and has nothing to do where were you live, what color you are, or how you speak.
if your name coincides with your character I will make that the whole people that i know pass of you as the holy **edit**.
¡if you don't like my bad English **edit** you freaks! without we, you MUST continue with stones attempting making fire! you only invented number 0! and this number characterizes you!

totally uncalled for.
Native Spanish speakers... not all Americans dislike you or your language. I do not think there is some inherent racist attitude among the U.S. players. In fact, some of us wouldn't even mind trying to communicate with you in your own language (albeit very broken Spanish in my case :-). Also not all Americans think our country is without fault or superior to other countries. It really hurts to think that we, as a whole, might come off that way but I imagine we do often enough.
Well, Joint_Maker, you were one of the "cooler heads" I was referring to, so thanks for that. Honestly if the roles were reversed, that guy's comment would have hacked me off to. ![]()
Here's to some community bonding!
Ok everybody... Group hug.
WAIT! maybe i shouldn't have said that.
Some one is going to think i'm suggesting something unintentional, then some one will respond with "your being ignorant", and then finally it will turn into an entirely different debate! ohh the humanity!
