make a line:
Current Waiting List:
/afkmessage Yes, I'm buffing, 8k tip to get in line.
/afk
add names under "Current Waiting List", and remove them while buffing them.
When you start building up a line (4+), copy & paste (CTRL-O if you haven't bound these yet) the current waiting list to chat every 5 minutes or so (you can select multiple lines and paste them in one action)...i.e.,
Current Waiting List:
name1
name2
name3
etc...
This both tells people that: 1. there is a wait, 2. you are buffing as fast as you can, 3. approximately how long they're wait will be, and 4. if they've already tipped, it reassures them that you haven't forgotten about them.
I've had really good response using this system, but YMMV.

When I feel like buffing or need cash I head to one of the outposts or cornette. I always have my doc sign off as I arrive. I sit in a remote but easy-to-get-to area. I usually sit in the same place and my regulars know where I am. After I finish with themand amready for the public I turn the title on usually wait about 30 seconds till the /tells come in. When the first one /tells me I turn the titleoff at once. Chances arethey have friends or a contact they'll/tell themI may get 3 or 4 more. I like to know my customers so I like talking to them instead of just dealing with potential ones while ignoring and buffing the current one.
As the last buffs go out I turn the title on, recharge the droid, eat some bivoli and count to 30. I like to buff ina personal way andhaving a regular clientel that enjoys your companyas much as yours buffs means eventually you don't need to sell your wares on the corner. Its the same as any other business; make good friends, do great work and everything else will fall into place.
