"Hmm I like it but one thing, that lower packs aren't really that much lower.
I use 870 packs and hit with bivoli 2.3k each shot but a guy using 770 packs will hit about 2.1k
My problem is that 870 is WAY more difficult to craft than a mere 770 pack and I as a customer wouldn't mind if I get a 2.1 or a 2.3k buff.
I will still try to craft the best packs I can, but only thinking that some guy with lower packs will hit almost the same is a bit... well weird. Don't ya think?"

Exactly...one of the things I'm talking about...all the effort put into crafting packs...I used an 850 pack, and got nearly the same results as a 900+ pack. All the effort to get the best resources to actually throw that huge buff, and it makes little difference anymore...hardly worth the effort, dont you think?

Bivoli? + wound treatment...Great...yet another F*** thing I've got to seek out and find the best of, just to throw a top quality buff. Half the time I'd throw buffs, 2500+ with maybe a 1500 thrown in the mix...80% of my customers would rave about "wow, now those are great buffs!"...repeat clients? constantly, since they knew I had the goods...and they'd always pay well. Now "Joe Doc", with a month on the job, buffs nearly as well as I do. Makes it REAL hard for me to justify raising prices for less of a buff, simply because I need to start carrying crates of freakin food around just so I can do my job almost as well as I used to.

I look at some of the names of those who are replying here, and I notice that quite a few of you fit the description of the "Joe Doc" I was speaking of. Spend a month collecting resources, and expect to throw a buff as well as the doc who's been doing it 10 times as long as you have. Experience and effort matters less than ever now, which explains why so many of you are so happy with the change. <shrug>

insulting us isn't going to get anything changed ... and you should have been carrying around bivoli since the chef revamp .... I noticed a 400 point increase on average keeping track of buffs for about 2 weeks using and not using bivoli .... and as far as the newb doc comment goes ... just because some of us jumped on board a server fairly recently (ie november when the euro servers went up) doesn't mean we're all newb docs .... I for one am annoyed with the whole situation not because of the buff changes but rather the experiment changes using the same ingrediants ( new subcomponents ) about 25 power higher , 2-3 charges more and 2000 seconds longer ... I ceased to take into consideration all those on TC complaining on the experimentation changes that they're resources prolly weren't as good as mine (as I've heard many complain about howbad resources on TC are ....) and from what I understand the better the resources you have, the better the improvements will be .... so now i'm struggling to get as many schems made tonight as i can .... before they get reverted tommorow ...

Fix is fine for me, sure I won't be hitting 3k + but then again I won't be getting aggrivated over hitting 900 on my best packs whilst those slightly less better are reaching 3000.

What we need is a Doctor's union, so we can fix our prices depending onthe base stat of the buff

Been a doc for a few months, been getting the best resources... and I love the change. For two people who told me that my buffs are the best there were four that never got a buff above 2500, or even 2000 sometimes. With 885 packs I was still getting 1100 buffs regularly... No brainer too me. I however agree that there should be a less linear formula above a point.

i also believe it will help people who actually like being a doc and try to get the best resources they can because now the dodgy doc in the corner selling cheap buffs with 650 - 700 packs cannot blame the random factor for the poor results.

But the difference between an 1800 buff and a 2500 buff is really not significant for most PvE players. The dodgy doc will do just fine for most people ... The difference between "being buffed" and having the highest buffs is not significant enough to pay double the price, and I think people will soon learn this. The only players who really need the highest buffs are PvPers and those fighting Krayts/Nightsisters etc, which is a minority of customers.

The difference betwen 1800 and 2200 may be more apparent after the combat changes.

They aren't just making up the numbers.

Even now that difference is the line between a stim and a res pack.

Well I'm having no trouble using up my old September 2003 buffpacks (695s) at 6k per buff set in the cities. Nobody really cares yet, they just want a buff. Saving my good ones for PvP raids (I'm in a PvP-focused guild).

I personally like the new buffing system. There is nothing worse than wanting to kill some nightsister mobs and getting a 900 buff on action. The overwrite feature is king too.

You think tell-hell was bad before the patch...

"Are you buffing?"

"What's your price?"

"Are you wearing the BE clothing?".

"Are you using Bivoli?"

"Is your droid rated at 110?"

"What is your base stat for <insert all sixpacks here>?"

"Wait right here while I ask every other MD on the planet what their stats are..."

Multiplied, of course, by every living, breathing soul looking for buffs. Welcome to the final ring of Tell Hell!

I love the new changes. People that think they had higher averages before are probably basing that on selective memory.

I buff for 2190 without food, it's fine by me... People who complain will get no buffs I think though, already got one today telling me how he got better buffs somewhere else for the same price...
