My whole point of being a doc is to assist in combat/ pvp. Lets face it, people aim for the doc. They check your bio, see you're a doc, and boom you're instantly the target of their fire. BUT, with fencer, you have some **edit** nice defense mods that can keep the ranged professions in their place. Your 300 dmg mind hits are all good and nice....if you can hit me.

Another fun option is to be a MD/M. CH. Here are some pro's
1. You can buff your pet so they can take a ton of damage and regen fast. You can also feed them mind candy.
2. You can control them from a long way away. Moving them from target to target.
3. You can befriend them to others who are closer to the action.
4. Since you are not part the attack you are free to heal and your mind pool is fee.
5. You are also a big help in PvE to tank. Since you are not attacking you dont get attacked and can focus on keeping others healthy.
6. Your pet keeps killing even when you go down.
7. With a good stim E you can heal your pet fast. 3-4k a shot.
8. Use nondescript commands and know one knows you own the pet. Sure they could look but they dont.
9. The scouting skills give you good harvest abilities to gather resources.
The grind to M. CH, however, is much harder now adays.
