Thread: Buffs WAY too random.

I agree 100%. I buffed myself and guildmates, I don't sell buffs, but I still cringe when I get 1100 on a 900+ Stim D.
There's no secret that the current buffing system is crapola, nothing more, nothing less. The random roll that goes into the final buff is shoddy coding, why it was set up to be random in the first place is beyond me. My suggestion is to add more buff packs E, F, G and make them static like I posted before. Plain and simple, the current system is stupid and beyond broke. Here's 2 set's of buffs that I did tonight with 830-840 power packs
1130
1540
1235
992
1410
2350
and then
1240
1150
1420
1220
1870
1370
If that's not broken then I don't know what is.
I agree.
Today I was buffing and I had one buff that was 600, and the one right after it was 2,500... it's disturbing - especially since the both had the same stats.

Anyone buying buffs from a non-Master Doctor is a fool anyways. With my med use 90's I can sniff 1800, but average 1000-1200, and get a periodic 500-600.

They should give us master doc E-packsthat are impossible to get to 90med use, almost like D's resource wise, but gauranteed to be above 2k always. It would shift the buffing business to us master docs instead of dabblers. (who piss me off, i get so many ppl complain they want me to kill/rez/buff them since a dabbler buffed em....)

Im mastering Doc and still finishing my grind line. Im not sure what you are using but i have never done anything less than 940's but I have done 3056, I usually hit in the 2k's.
I think giving players the ability to drop their buffs is the best option... that way if someone wants a 3k+ set with the variance they can get it, but it will cost them more money.
I also think that the stuff we get BE clothing and better droids, and buff packs should bring up the lower end.... just a little bit.
As a crafter I would NOT like to see harder to make buff packs. My god some good meat spawned on my server and I am forking over 250k to newbies right and left for 5k avian meat. (thats 50 cpu!) And guess what... they sell it for more on the bazaar!
SWG has become MeatQuest ever since I became a master doc. If they halved all meat requirements I'd be a happy camper.
