Thread: Hiding Master Doc title

I refuse to hide my master doc tag. I worked hard for it andi shouldnt have to It gets a bit difficult, especially around coronet but asimple "im not buffing" or "sorry out of buffpacks" reply normally works
So you worked hard to earn your title only to then turn around and lie to people. . .
Personally I have yet to see all these idiot customers you all have to deal with every moment of your lives (at least that's the way it seems to hear some docs talk about it)
All my customers are very patient and understanding that I am busy. They also understand that the buffs are random and I do refund for bad rolls. It's not their fault that they got bad buffs and I'll make plenty buffing others so what's the harm in giving one single solitary person a partial refund for a bad random roll. Even if I were to deal with jerks the sheer amount of nice, patient, understanding and overall pleasnt customers far far far outweigh the number of dorks.
Maybe I'm just lucky or maybe things are not nearly as bad as some of you docs put it.
However I will admit I only wear my master doc tag when I'm prepared to just sit and buff. ![]()

I do agree with you, most people are pleasant and kind to Doctors. The problem is that we all remember the bad people more clearly because their actions make us mad. I can't count the number of times after a buff that I get a "Thank You" or "Great Buff", it happens all the time. If you haven't had to deal with too many jerks then you are pretty lucky. I usually get a real big jerk about once every few days on average. Take into account the 50 other people that aren't any trouble, and it's not that bad.
Plus every Doctor does things a bit different, some charge a flat rate, some charge per point or sliding scale. Some Doctors barter or haggle their prices, others don't budge. Some Doctors are using 700 power packs some are using 850+ power. One thing that always gets to me is when someone asks me how much for buffs, and I tell them 10K and they run off calling me a rip off artist. They seem to forget that they asked me.

I wear it when I am a "Doctor" or.. otherwiseput - when I am in the frame of mind to deal with all that is "Doctor". This is about 20% of the time. I wear it when I plan to sell buffs or am in my player city. Occasionally in quiet cities such as Doaba or Mos Eisley where I know I my get one tell at the most.
Its definately a tag you don't wear to show off with.. it an "open for business" sign more than any other profession.
