Yeah the 113 is the difference between your buff and the earlier buff. you, technically get med XP based on the 113, not your total buff (because soemone[or you] got that XP before).
In theory, you could buff someone for 600 (and get XP for 600), then rebuff fro 700 (and get that full XP too), then 1000, etc. etc.
So overwrites only give the difference in XP.
There is always the option of asking the patient "do you have all the buffs?" or "Did I miss a stat."
I don't use any macros at all, for anything..., but I haven't had a problem with rebuffing on accident(and I don't use matched packs, so I can't look at the charge counter, mine are never even).
Pop-ups don't bother me at all, but I don't think you will get enough support for this to become a top issue. Who knows though. All sorts of people come out for the votes.

Although I love that I can over ride a buff, I hate that it does not warn me that I am doing so.
I use both methods; macro and box clicking. Here are the issues with both.
1. Box clicking. Boy is it hard to remember which box you have click. Sure you can look at your chat box (one set up for only system measages) but it is still tough to keep track of.
2. Macro. I have double clicked the macro more than I like to admit. Also, if your droid runs out of batteris and your not watching then you have to do a lot of back tracking. Thank god they extended the life of batteries.
I also had one fool tell me that since I only added 200 to his buff he was only going to tip me xxx. Oh, that guy got a lot of love from me.
If I had my dream the /diag would tell me what their current buff is. That does not seem like a big Dev resouces time consumer. That way if I get lost I can just /diag and see what they have already.

oh wow that is the BEST suggestions ever! YAY someone agree's with me and YAY someone has an alternative to mine that i think more people would accept. Maybe even a seperate BUFF diag box? I would hate to have to scroll down on the diag box every time to get to the buff info. OR OR OR!!!!!!! I can click on that person and it updated my buffs windo with THEIR info or something..
assume idea's! Thx! Lets add that when the vote comes PLEASE!!!! His idea!

Yeah, that is good.
Adding something to the Diag box would be easier then a new box.. ok. Changing the wording on the vote list i'm working on.

I suspect a doc would use the /diag to check for buffs far more than wounds. So maybe put the sort order such that the buffs go on top to address the issue of scrolling down.
The nice thing about this is if it is live then we can add /diag as part of the macro and then just watch the buffs pop up.

I dont see why you would need med points if youre a master doc. But whatever floats your boat LOL I can see its a problem for the 0-4-4-4 medics who want fast med points using buffs, but then you always have the option of not buffing people who just want a rebuff. I was answering to the reapplying of buffs for docs and how macro helps you not lose your buffpacks. But yes, for non-masters, I could see why this could be very negative. I think if youre gonna reapply a buff, you should either charge more, or the devs should think about making the re-apply a whole new buff. IF that person wants a rebuff, give the doc all the points!

The re-application of the same buffs, that can be a problem sure. But it is not too difficult to keep track of what you've buffed if you do what I do. I've had my chat window split into 2 windows for the last couple months, which works just great. In the bottom window I have spatial chat, guild, etc.. The upper window, just above it, is for system messages and tells only. No combat or spatial spam in that upper window. So I can readily scroll back on the previous patient and see that I got all their stats, since that window moves very slowly. To assist with this, I also have line colorization set on the texts "Health by", "Action by" etc so that each one is a different color. It's pretty easy to scan the scrollback to notice one of your colors is missing. Give it a try, I find it helps. I also have highlighted "tips you" so that's easy to pick out in scrollback as well.
ISSUE: Bank tipping hasn't given a system message since publish 6. This means you can scam a doc with a fake email.I don't stop and do the math on my bank balance to double-check, there just isn't time for that, with adding people to lines, training, dealing with tells, etc.. FIX THAT!!!! Even without scamming, it's annoying as hell because I always have to open my email to check that they actually paid what I asked them to, and also who did the tip. FIX IT!!!!

that wouldnt work cause in coronet its tell hell. No way to keep up with sys messages and tells.
I agree buffs should go FIRST on the diag list cause if they wern't buffed they simply wouldnt show up and the other stats would which is nice. Well okay maybe that's a good point to make in the request. Have buffs be FIRST on the diag list, but only attributes that are buffed should apear in order to keep the scrolling down! Unless of course it can all fit on the screen.

Guys... Why don't you just use the /healEnhance macro? I've always used it since it started working, and even with the new system it will just buff all stats without reapplying any buff. Really, try it... there is NO issue with it.

His issue is:
Currently, the buff reapply works like:
If new buff >= current buff, then APPLY.
It SHOULD be:
If new buff > current buff, then APPLY.
I had some issue with it myself, but I consider it just an inconvenience. I can just use /healenhance to avoid it anyways.

I disagree. Being able to refresh all buffs at once when one is supposed to drop in 10 minutes with the same packs is *really* handy. And it gets rid of the issues with not being able to rebuff if you log.

<<What I used to do to make sure I got all the persons stats was just run through and re-click everything and it would say "They already have this enhanced blah blah". Now I wind up re-enhancing it all. YUCK!>>
Yep, this is how I used to check my patient's buffs also. Not anymore, lol. I was buffing a friend today and lost track of where I was, so I hit my F4 key and oops, I reenhanced it. I think I may have to resort to using the macro (thank you for posting it btw). But just to let you know Staphire, you're not the only one bugged by this.

YES! Please fix this. I actually posted on the dev feedback board about this too. But I'll point out a few suggestions as to how I would like to see this fixed.
1. Bank Tip Emails shoulduse upper case onthe person's name even if that character's name is not capitalized and put in the character's last name. Player to player emails shouldbe lower case and only show the first name.
2. Whether it be a bank tip or just a regular tip the recieving person should be sent an email. I know when buffing people I get the stats of the buffs in my system message box as well as the tip system message. Rather than having the system message for non bank tips send an email instead. This would also alleviate any hassles with bank tip only docs. We get the occasional person who throws a fit over bank tipping. Or they tip you directly "oops I forgot" by accudent. Having emails sent for ALL types of tips would be GREATLY useful.
I would REALLY love to see my second idea put in. Thoughts?
