I don't charge, but I don't have any problem saying no either.

I think NO rocks...

Been playing since release... know how many times I have sent a tell to a doc for a rez? never... if they aren't in my group/guild and in the area... I dont even bother asking... not because I think for a sec I would be turned down or that I dont have enough creds to cover it... but because I dont want to inconvienence another player to come res my dumb/carless ass somewhere...

Charge away if you are in the immediate area... why? because if your in the immediate area, chances are that person/group is honing in on your hunting anyway.. and if your not in the area... 10k-50k doesnt really cover the loss of time and hunting spot... well maybe 50k covers it, but 10k? thats one mission... if it's going to take longer to res then to complete a mission it isnt worth it... and I aint no motha theresa neither!

Any group I hunt with gets stims and rezzes and cure poison/disease free. They allow me to pull missions my template would never be able to touch. If I like the group, I might even buff for free.

Guild gets all my services free, but hell, that's cause when I send a waypoint about 950+ OQ/PE/DR fungus, next day, I get 500k of the stuff dropped in my supply house. I get Uber herbivore/avian free (up to a certain amount) and discounts on anything I want above and beyond that.

If I feel generous, I'll come and TRY to rez you. I might ask for money, I might not. If yer a tool, you get charged. If you blow up my screen with /tells, you'll get charged and added forevermore to my /addignore list. If you yell at me cause I died 4x trying to get yer stupid AZZ from Ft. Tusken, and then yell at me cause you don't believe that there is such a thing as a Rez Timer, I might just /duel you and disease all yer blue stats... Yeah I'll die (I mean, comeon, look at my template and race) but I'll laugh all the way to the cloning center about you walking around with no blue stats whatsoever.

If you are a fellowhealer and have helped me learn the trade, find waypoints, hunt, etc.... I'll travel across the universe for you.

When I needed the xp on my way to doc, I was rezzing and buffing for free. Now that I'm a master and don't require the xp, if I don't know you, then you need to pay for my services. Sorry, but a guy has gotta make money somehow

Count me in with the ranks of charging for a res.

The first hour after getting my Master Doctor Iwas pinged by three different players that wanted me to find them in the wilderness to res them - they forgot to insure their armor, they each told me. I learned quickly that day to make myself unsearchable and to pull down the Master Doctor title when I don't want to be bothered.

The only time I will res a player for free (that is not in a mission group with me), is to help reset buffs when they are buying a set of buffs from me. Even then, some players are kind enough to tip for the res on top of the buffs.

Since that didnt go the way i planned. I was in the geno lab the other day doing the missions, had my master doc tag on as always. I am soon Spammed with like 10 tells asking for a res... Now me Im not the strongest doctor out there so i would have to risk my ass to go res them in some incredible large mob.. So i make a reply and ask for 10k.. Now most of them were more then happy to pay.. Considering getting rebuffed the drive the wounds.. they would save money. But a few people just blew up and flipped out about asking money for a res. What do you think, i dont want to be the only doc to charge to res someone. If i am the only doc to charge i will just stop ressing. So theres the vote /charge or /no

/charge

It's a game. . . charge what you want and have fun. If you want to charge and you have the skill they either pay or rot.

Personally I wouldn't charge but that's just me.

I dunno,

For example, you dont need to charge people on DAOC do you? you get rezz spells for free when lvling up. on EQ you buy the Spell and you have it forever. on SWG, you have to buy all the componants to make stims or Rezz packs out of your own pocket, you have to manufature the items in a factory which you bought, the factory costs money to run.

Most players, from experience of other MMORPG's, do get a little upset when asked a fee because most never had to before but our overhead is too much to offer it for free.

I've found that for the most part when people are complaining about prices it's because they don't have any money. When someone starts going off about your price, the first response you might have is to think well maybe I am charging a little too much, but generally a good thing to do is to ask them how much money they have I was selling a holoa couple ofweeks ago, and this guyasks how much and I told him my price and he said that's way to much and that blah blah blah they are worthless and he knew a guy selling them for a lower price. So i asked him how much he had and he said he had as much as this other guy was selling them for hehe. Needless to say I told him to go buy it from him, and the funny thing was for the next few weeks everytime I went into coronet Ifound him constantly spamming that he was buying a holo and offering that same dumb low price that the "other" guy was selling it for. If I was so expensive it should have been easy for him to buy it at the price he thought was fair right? Basically when you hear people complaining it's b/cthey have no sense, or no money. I'm much more likelyto go downin my price if someone gives me agood offer, butif some idiotis just complaining and telling me I'm ridiculous thenthat doesn't help him much, probably what would help him a little more is to use his time to do a few more missions instead of complaining about prices.

I do group/guild mates for free since the packs aren't that hard to make and they help me out. Healing them is your job in the group. For everyone else, I'll help out if I can see the person or they're really close. Tips are appreciated, and sometimes required.

What I don't do is rebuff them right after, especially when the death occurred because they were foolish with their mind. They got 150 mind left, and thinks it's a good idea to run right up into that 300k HAM Nightsister and start spammingnovice TKA moves. It's always less than 5 minutes after you gave them a free buff too that they do this suicide move.
