You really hit the nail on the head with this. As a DE-turned-Doctor, I can certainly relate to it. I had a couple incidents with droid "customization" that were nearly identical to this spoof dialogue. They wanted me to color their droids, and I told them they needed to consent, and I just went in circles trying to explain it. Granted, it was only a couple episodes out of dozens and dozens, but it's always those few bad apples that seem to stick in memory.

Yeah being a smith I get /tells like this at least twice and hour, and my ignore list grows by the week. That's just the deal of having so many different ages and mentality's in this game. well more than 75% of the servers seem to be ill informed about important game systems.
OK, I can see why /consent is a problem (even though the same imaginary person will have no problem consenting you to rez them) so instead why not a pop up window system similar to the one you get when an ID makes you over or you are invited to group? Like type /join or /accept or click the button. This is more idiot proof and stops the unconsented buffing.
Something is needed because like it or not this is happening regularly. There as many stupid people doing medic/doctor as there are combatants/PvPers who just want everything now and have little understanding or regard of their fellow player's professions.
Anyway I've calmed down since last night but if I see this guy again I'm gonna spam spatial warnings to anyone within buff range of him. I mean 128 health buff? I'd prefer a 300 per tick mind disease: at least that's easy to cure...
Instead of consent that you have to type each time how about giving players the ability to just autorefuse buffs. That way when someone tries to ninja buff you they'll get "it would be unwise to help such a patient" or something like that.
And to the guy who said that instead of actually helping people we should just all go and heal tumblers for xp. . . not even going to dignify that with an answer. By the way not all of us can join a hunting group. If we could we'd be combat medics 
I always ask before Igive out an freebie xp buff. If they don't respond or say "no" I move on. There are PLENTY of people who'll say "sure".
Just as there are idiot customers there are idiot docs (as the original poster pointed out)

You can't buff or heal in a lot of cantina's...not only that, but why would you want to prompt AFK.
