So Lets face it!! Think about all the time you put into this little stimpack B the time to craft the compoement then the stimp and before the time you took to get the ressources !!! Why should i sell then 2k or lower.... ummmm this does not make any sence! I see armorsmith and weaponsmith selling stuff for over 500k i cant do this its crafting after all why should a doc give her stuff up! Oh well...People just a other point! Our main customer are fighter with novice medic.. Guys they make at least 5k a mission and this is at least!!!! Imagine what they can do with our stimp! And the buff dammm wake up sell them 10k!!! This dude will make over 100k with your buff!! And stop garanty and refund if it lower the 1k WHY!!!!Because you cant garanty your buff why should you refund something that you dont have control over with!!! Well loll that its lollll hope i made all you docs understand stuff i for myself been doc since swg started and im still it and i run my shop and love it! And i never give out my stuff im expensive but my client knows they are getting the quality!
If that's what you want to charge that's what you charge. I have zero trouble harvesting my own resources with my single account. The sale of a single5 pack crate of stims (which I sell for about 4.5K) is more than enough to pay for a single harvester for a day or so. The amount resources pulled in that time will allow me to make tons of stims.
I ran a single harvester on some nice tat fiberplast on intrepid a few weeks ago. I gathered 63K of this stuff with a single harvester. I've since made about 200K selling the stims made using these resources and have over 50K of the fiberplast left.
Harvesters are a one time shot. You buy them once and they are yours forever. I have 10 lots. 2 are for a house and the other 8 are spread across the galaxy harvesting resources. Checking a harvester doesn't take much time. Just hop on a bike and off you go dump a few K here or there for maint fees and always keep a power generator running to give you power.
I'm making profit and I charge what I think is reasonable. For me it's the idea of helping someone. When a guy logs in for the first time I feelthey shouldn't be required to run a full set of destroy missions just to afford a stim pack. That's basically the motto I go by. If you want to charge 2K for a stim then be my guest and more power to you. I personally think that's too high but that's just me.
Whats so high about 2k per stim, you act as if the poor person must go to hell and back to be able to afford it. The easiest way in this game to make money is by grinding out missions and when you undercut everyone else in your profession selling stims for 900 per becuase you think charging what the market value for them is a ripoff, dont walk away thinking you've helped someone as you havnt.
You per unit pricers have really got to get a clue, do you really think that bottle of tylenol, clothes on your back, car you drive ect. is priced per unit with a 3% 'helping people' markup? Get real, if this was the case and people still were able to pull the same incomes they always have, everyone would have tonnes and tonnes of goods. If you can have a novice marksman get into a group on Dath buffed and in an hour make over 100k quit with the holier than thou attitude that when we charge them 2k per we are taking advantage of their poor souls.
By charging a pittance for your goods you are helping them ya, but you are also undermining every other docs products in the process. Every server has the same mission payouts, money is easy to grind out, a fair representation for any server to sell stims will always be heal x charge / 10 (until prices get really out of hand for resources which will happen very soon) you are still making a profit with that formula and you have a way to price varying quality stims.
I sell all my stims on my vendor with that formula, Dath I stock the bazzars for 3k per high quality 450+, and when I spam its at 2k per because I am doing the work going to them(if they want the deals take the time and go to my vendor which I always tell them will be cheaper) But just the other day I sold two 50's to this guy and he asked me if I could make him some C's I said sure gimme a shout and we can hook it up, then he asks if he buys like 2 mill worth can he have like half off???????? WHAT? Ya ok geez im silly ofcourse ill give you half off seeing as your buying more?
Most customers have no Idea what meds are really worth as there is soo much bickering between doctors about their various prices. Now I agree the 6k per on the bazzar guys are beyong ridiculous, but i stock the adventure planets for 3k per so they will fade away but you 800 900 per unit pricers wont fade away, we make products that saves lives so people can make more money ultimately and we should be payed in wooden nickels? How much money do you think the best of the best guns and armour cost to make? Probably an 8th of what they sell for, but for some strange reason Doctors shouldnt charge for their hard work and time along with the other masters?

1. You make assumptions.
2. Calm down
3. Not every novice marksman can get with a group and go to Dath.
Back when the game was early it was not uncommon to see a 400+ power stim B being sold for about 900 credits. If it was ok then why isn't it ok now? Before I became a doc I bought my stims from a doc named seps on Intrepid. He specialized in high quality stims for a verygood price which is why I used him. Besides I personally don't think I'm undercutting anyone. I simply choose not to follow the formula. I collect all my own resources so I don't have to buy them. I don't really care about "time" because it takes a few minutes to scope out a spot and drop a harvester and a few minutes to check it every few days. Besides when you factor in the time necessary to make things it makes this game start to feel like work and when a video game starts to feel like work it's "time" to do something else. I enjoy crafting and I enjoy being a doctor.
I also don't try to sell uber stims at dirt cheap prices. I try to stay in the 350 - 375 range. That's all I want to do. I simply want to sell good quality stims at reasonable prices. For me my personal preference is that 2K for a stim is just too much so I don't charge that much. It's that simple. When I price I ask myself a very simple question. "If I were a combat character what would I think would be a fair price for this stimpack" and voila that's what I sell it for.
This is a game with a virtual economy. There is an endless supply of money because it's not real cash but a number in a database somewhere. If my stims are on the bazaar and your stims are also on the bazaar both will sell. If a guy comes by and picks up all of my stims in one shot (which has never happened by the way) then guess what? All of my "price undercutting" stims are gone and yours are all that's left. That way when the next guy comes along (with his newly acquired 100K from hunting on Dath) all he'll have to choose from are your stims. Also if both of our stims are priced the same then GUESS WHAT. Both of our meds will STILL sell because when mine are gone yours will be all that's left again.
This "debate" can be settled by answering 2 simple questions.
1. Are you on Intrepid?
2. Do you have a hard time selling your stims?
If you answer "yes" to both of those questions I'll raise my prices since I'm having such a drastic effect on your in game virtual world cashflow.

I have been able to get the same results (400s) with 36 charges. But i give these to my guild mates. I have seen similar packs sell for 1500+ (eclipse) but that was some time ago and prices may have gone up..
i ahve found the following to be fair for B's and C's
Base Heal x Charges x .1 = Price
and they move well too. D's and E's go for 2500, and 4000 for me.
If I did actively sell advanced Stim-B's, my target price would probably be 150cr each. Rating on them is normally between 300 and 350 (mostly because I did not spend months trying to get perfect resources). Yes, there is better stuff out there and I have considered trying to flood the market with slightly lower quality very cheap partial advanced stim-b's. It would not be hard and I could still get a good profit.

on our server a formula is being used by most and that is
(shots * power) / 10 per stim
I have to disagree with you on that
I use 40cpu liquid petro chem and 30 cpu meat to get 464 with 35 charges according to this i would have to sell them at 1.6k each which is way too cheap.
Heh, you guys have servers with very low price economies.
On bloodfin herb is 45cpu and avian 100cpu
Expect to pay at least 60k for a full crate of adv stim Bs (More likely 80k)

Well I would add another question: do your stims sell too fast? If yes, it's time to raise your prices.
A crate of 50 stims (divided up into stacks of 5) takes anywhere from 24 to 72 hours to sell on the bazaar so I don't think it goes too fast. I made a run of 4 crates of 50 about a week ago and I've sold about half of them and restocked the bazaar last night.
Now what IS common is one person will buy 2-3 crates at a time.
